wallace has a very fair contract, is our best player, most beloved player, all-star and defensive 1st teamer. i would hope if/when we trade him it is a package for one or more of the following: cap space, high draft pick, young player with stud potential.
it makes no sense for us to trade him away for role players, such as gortat, pietrus, bass etc...

Why on earth do you think the 2 scrubs and a 2nd rounder is worth the next scottie pippen?
And hes probably on the best non rookie contract in the league, so...

Geralds available, but only if this is part of a 2 part trade. The 2nd part is Diop for Dwight Howard.

dont worry about it crash is a soft spot for bobcats fans....its also hard to get a idea of what his trade value is....my best guess would be a high - mid first and a future stud

Well your starting point has to be better then Bass, Pietrus, and a 2nd. A bad free agent signing, a good bench player, and a 2nd for a an all star who averaged 18 and 10 while playing 41 minutes a game. Kind of a key player for Charlotte.
You can't honestly think the original offer was a good one.

Wallace/Diop for Jameer/Bass/JJ/The rights to Vasquez/1st or future 1st+2nd
I could sleep well with that, as long as Jack and Diaw are out the door behind him.

You know when something bad is said, and then in an attempt to salvage it...something worse gets said. Quit while you are behind.
"Rights to Vasquez"

Maybe we can also get the Knicks to trade us Frederic Weis and the Kings to deal us Dejan Boidroga.

Don't hate on Vasquez! lol
IMO, Jameer would probably do the same anywhere. Heck, he might even put up better numbers outside of Orlando where its all swing & shoot anyways.
Anything that gets rid of Diop's contract is a win too. A late first is always a positive. JJ is solid, Bass is going to put up some decent numbers once he gets some pt, maybe Vasquez decides he wants to actually make the jump to the NBA (The guy can play, its really not a secret. And its why Orlando will hold his rights until he dies).
The trade makes sense. Its not one of those deals where one team is clearly getting robbed either.
Orlando is most likely looking to move Vince for possibly Arenas too - that'll fill their void at point overnight. UPS and Gerald should be getting more minutes next year, slide Jack to the 3 and thats gravy. Then you're looking at....
Jameer/DJ
JJ/Gerald/Hughes
Jax/UPS/Whoever is replacing Stephen Graham
Diaw/Bass/Tyrus
Chandler(soon to be traded)/Nazr(soon to be traded)/Lexi/goonies
and
Arenas/Jay Will
Pietrus/random FA that would've replaced JJ anyway/someone who's not a choke artist like Vince
Gerald/Barnes
Lewis/Ryan Anderson
Dwight/Gortat/Diop
Clearly Orlando is weak at shooting guard after this trade - but its something that they were going to have to address at the end of the season anyways. Still, Gerald on Orlando would beast. And in turn, the Bobcats get MUCH needed outside scoring. If Jameer can pick up his defense a little bit, the team is solid. The late first round pick from Orlando would be butter too.
Not saying that I'd jump out of my seat if this trade were to happen, but I'd be completely cool with it. This trade makes both teams better. The Bobcats lose a bit on the defensive side, but the offense gains a MASSIVE boost with the addition of playmakers and outside shooting. Orlando loses its floor general of the last couple of years and some depth, but they gain one of the premier scorers in the league (also, Gilbert and Dwight puppets would make millions).
The Orlando guy wanted a trade that'd work on both sides, mine is unquestionably that.

I hope your not being serious, in that trade orlando own us, you make the bobcats a 20 win team at best... Jameer without dwight is mo williams
that line up is pathetic

I think some guys are being a bit harsh here even though I agree the guys offer was way off.
On a separate note, if one of the current teams with a lottery pick offered their pick straight up for Gerald Wallace which team(s) could get him? Presumably everyone here would take Wall for Wallace. What about picks #2+? Is there any other draft prospect you'd take a chance on at the price of Wallace?

JJ Redick would be the 2nd greatest Bobcat shooting guard of all time lol. Jameer is legit, and he'd probably be better off away from Orlando at this point in his career. Its not like Dwight actually gets doubled every game, and when Dwight''s making a fool of himself in the post who do you think it is penetrating and causing defenses to collapse? It sure isn't Vince or Rashard...
I think most would say that I'm a realist when it comes to being a fan. I won't pretend that a guy is better than he really is just because he plays for my favorite team. Crash plays hard and is a defensive playmaker. He's incredibly efficient in our system and on a nice contract. Still, if this trade went down and we got Jameer, Bass/Gortat, JJ and two picks as well as the freedom from Diop's contract, I'd consider it a slight improvement.

For whatever it's worth, I think we could do a lot worse than DY's proposal. I'd prefer to have Pietrus instead of Redick.
