The trade I make right away* if Lebron goes to Miami...

*If we don't think we're going to keep Tyrus and possibly even if we are.
I also am not sold on Lebron going to Miami.
Heat receive:
Nzar
Bobcats receive:
Beasley
Chalmers
Heat receive a decent 5 on an expiring contract.
Bobcats receive a high potential player who might have some sense beat into him by LB and a back-up PG on the cheap.

by Felton for Pres
I'd do that in a heartbeat but I can't believe that is the best offer they'd get.

Done and done.
Then S&T Tyrus to the Nets.

I don't think Beasley is the type of headcase Larry could fix but then again I thought so about others too. But I would do it, his contract is not that bad and Chalmers is strong incetive to do that.

Are we S&T'ing Tyrus solely for the trade exception? Totally makes sense to do that, just curious?
And F4P, I agree that you would think that they could get a better offer. (If I was Phoenix, I'd totally take a chance on Beasley right now. And I can't believe that D'Antoni wouldn't want to give him a shot.) But neither of those teams have centers or pure shooter that they'll want to trade (don't see the Knicks offering up Danillo). But for whatever reason, it doesn't really feel like they can necessarily get a better offer.
The Heat need two things. A rotation of shooters. This team doesn't need a PG on the court with two handlers/defenders like Wade/Lebron. They need a couple of kick out options to rotate in and out, whether they play the 1, 2, or the 3. And another big man. And assuming Bosh doesn't want to play the 5 (although you have to think he would if that was the difference in getting Lebron), a guy like Nzar makes sense. And you can alway deal Nzar's contract at the trade deadline if you want something else, since it's an expiring.

We're not getting Beasley. Not someone MJ or LB would want on their team. And it seems nobody really wants him. Selfish player.

Oh and I forgot to say, Lebron is not going to the Heat, he's going to the Knicks. So obvious...

I'd obviously want to trade him for Williams. With the cap space they have they could absorb the extra $$$$ and we would get a little breahting room while finding our back up PG/SG/SF.
If it wasn't for T.Will I would want a lottery protected pick from them (to replace the one we dialed out to get T2).

Don't necessarily disagree, but I'm curious in what makes it so obvious to you ?

Ah... I keep forgetting that he's restricted, Slammers. I'm on board now. I doubt they move-T-Wil on a rookie deal for Tyrus with Lopez and Favors (even though Favors is obviously not ready yet).
And I agree, Battery. I'm not sold on him going to the Heat at all.

Greenwich, CT.

i hope you are right battery.
then again, would it be better for the bobcats playoff chances if lebron, wade and bosh are all on the same team rather than spread out? sure we cant beat them, but maybe we can now beat the cavs, raptors, nets and knicks in the playoff race.

Not sure that's a big enough proof. But yesterday before going to sleep I had the feeling that he'd sign with the Knicks as well. Ven though that was before all these Miami rumors popped up, I still say he's going to New York.
We should all make our predictions and see who's right or wrong.

Yeah... I just can't see the real choice being leaked this early.

I think it will be difficult to make the playoffs no matter where Lebron goes because the Knicks, Nets, Bulls and the Heat as of right now are all still under the cap. Which means they can greatly improve their team in other ways even without Lebron. Then you have other strong teams like the Celtics, Hawks, Magic and the Bucks. It's going to be tough for us this season.
The bottom line is, we cannot worry about what other teams do because that does not improve our team. Unless we get substantially better, we were not going to beat the top teams in the playoffs anyway. So what I see happening is us starting to rebuild our team at the trade deadline and shedding salary. I have a feeling S-Jax will definitely be traded then, other veterans too. Maybe sooner, depends on how everything shakes out this offseason.
Also keep in mind, nothing last forever and in the NBA things can change VERY fast. The only bad contract we really have is Diop and it's nowhere near Elton Brand bad. Everyone else on our team can be traded and we could get some good value back. I think we need to just ride this season out while making moves for the future.

That means they can greatly overpay. Longterm we are getting the upper hand on them.

Yeah, it is. Greenwich, CT is just a stones throw to the Knicks practice facility in NY, plus "The Decision" is being made at a rented house 2 houses away from where Allan Houston lives. H2O was very involved in the free agent recruitment process. Also, Greenwich is where lots and lots of VERY rich people who work in Manhattan call their home. These are the people who control brands that are as big as Lebron James. MSG stock is up.
Also, NYC is not very far from Akron which is another reason why I cannot see him going to Miami. Easy 1 hour private jet flights from Westchester airport to Akron. So he will always be close to home.
One last thing, Miami is a dump and the fan base is terrible. If Riley wasn't there, Wade would be gone too.

I don't see him going to Miami either. To me it's Knicks, Bulls, or Cavs. I have a feeling now that it's gonna be the Bulls, but I have a different feeling every ten minutes

I would rather have Haslem over Beasley. I like his rebounding and jump shot better. He would be a great mouthpiece player next to Wallace. HA
