Hughes understand the free agent game has a pecking order and that he must wait for his turn. He also says his agent has heard from a number of teams, but at this point in his career he's looking for a winning culture and a veteran team ready to compete.

Hughes is finally healthy after a series of injuries that have limited his ability to train and prepare in the off-season. please baby jesus dont do it.....man he was awful how can a player be in the NBA that long and his jumper be that bad? and to think his guy avg 20 points one season man he had to shoot like 350 times to do that

we could do a lot worse than hughes as a backup pg. i do think he can be useful for our team. i just didnt want him playing playoff minutes in crunch time as our shooting guard and scoring option. big difference.

I forgot all about that guy.
I wouldn't mind him coming back, as a mentor type who only plays if there are massive injuries.
But knowing Larry Brown, Hughes will be the first one off the bench.

Would like to have him back but after seeing what Hendo has done in the summer league, I think it's best for the team not to sign him and give Hendo some more pt.

It may be just me, but I prefer Hulk. Hammer just in clutch time (if he is stilling hitting threes like he did). Hulk pretty much played the right way. Nothing spectacular, just low profiled and effective, the right way.

If he goes elsewhere, it's Josh Howard or McGrady time. I bet either one takes a crap one year contract right now.
