I mean no offense

Could you guys give me an accurate scouting report on Raymond Felton. I was never impressed but I use to see him twice a season. Thankyou for your time.

you should be able to find all you need here, especially the last 10 or so pages, when many knicks fans came last week to ask the same question.

I'd say he's a average player. He doesn't do anything great, he doesn't do anything bad. He kind of reminds me of Chris Duhon without the 3pt shot.

He's a rich man's Chris Duhon but a Poormans Chauncey Billups if that makes sense, if he stayed under LB he probably would have became the next Billups

Yeah, I'd say thats about right.

A poor man's Chauncey without the range or ability to finish, more turnover prone, and not quite as good of a defender. He'll probably average a good 7 assists or so in NY, but unless the spirit of Allan Houston finds its way into his body his shooting will plummet again.

I know how bad he was. But still, he's a better offensive player than Ray will ever be. Ray has the edge on defense, but that's it.

LOL I was just wondering that too. I bet it sticks with him. Where did it come from though? We never saw it until LB showed up and now DJ does the same thing. It's much more effective when you're close to a defender and not 30 feet from them.

To the OP though, you will not get an accurate view of Felton from this board. I suggest you look through stats, find some game film maybe, youtube clips, and news articles.

Most on this board wishes he was Chris Paul and because he's not, feel he is garbage. Others (like myself) stick up for him more than we should and exaggerate his abilities. He's somewhere in between I'm sure, :)

Raymond Felton wouldn't be so garbage if he was more like Chris Paul.

I was spoiled living in Chicago watching D. Rose play all the time. So to go from watching him to Felton is a big drop off in the talent department, but it's not like Felton stunk. Actually a better system might be what he needs. In New York he'll have a scoring big, unlike in Charlotte, he'll have perimeter shooters, and he may be the best defender on the team, he could fit right in. If he was a few inches taller he'd be like a Derek Harper was for them in the 90's except Ray does that damn 3pt spin move that is utterly useless, other than that though.....yeah.
