Re: Summer Fun - final rosters and voting
Alright, meet your new Robot Overlords:
POINT GUARD: Chauncey Billups
Bench: Jameer Nelson (extra minutes: Terry)
SHOOTING GUARD: Jason Terry
Bench: Evan Turner, Anthony Parker
SMALL FORWARD: Andrei Kirilenko
Bench: Luol Deng (Spot minutes for Parker, Turner, Jamison)
POWER FOWARD: Luis Scola
Bench: Antawn Jamison, Dejuan Blair
CENTER: Andrew Bogut
Bench: Chris "Birdman" Andersen
Coach: Pat Riley
Reserves: Ryan Gomes, Martell Webster, Delonte West
NBA Cheerleader/Wife/Girlfriend of NBA player - Amanda Altschuler (we'll keep her away from Birdman)
Team Philosophy: This is a team that wins by fighting for every board, contesting every possession, and spreading the ball to find your weak points. This collection of players bring everything to the table, to provide maximum flexibility. I will leave it to Riley to mix and match lineups as he chooses and as the game flows; we can provide offensive and defensive mismatches against any lineup. We can run (Nelson-Terry-Turner-AK-Andersen), we can spread the floor (Billups-Terry-Deng-Jamison-Bogut), we can D up (Billups-Parker-AK-Blair-Bogut). We have post scorers, shooters, distributors, P&R stars, and probably the best pair of shot-blockers and rebounders in this draft. Your team had better be ready for anything.

team fatlever
depth chart
pg: tony parker/monta ellis/luke ridnour
sg: ray allen/monta ellis/wesley matthews/wayne ellington
sf: shawn marion/mike dunleavy jr/omri caspi
pf: david west/joakim noah/andray blatche/patrick patterson
c: yao ming/joakim noah/antonio mcdyess/andray blatche
team fatlever is a team of amazing balance. the starting lineup consists of 5 current or former all-stars, two of which have championship rings. the first three players off the bench are young, hungry talented players: noah, ellis and blatche. the team features low post offense, perimeter shooting and quick penetrating guards. this versatility allows the team to adapt to any opposing defense.
yao ming is the centerpiece of the offense when he is in the game. yao is on schedule for a full recovery and will be ready to terrorize defenses starting from day one. but yao will be limited to 25 mins per night. he doesnt need to play 40 mins a game with so many talented big men on the roster. this will allow yao to finally be healthy and fresh for the playoffs giving team fatlever the best low post scorer in the league. david west provides another talented low post scorer who is also equally proficient as a pick and roll shooter. noah provides the grit, hustle, defense and rebounding every team needs. blatche can score from anywhere on the floor and beat any man his size off the dribble.
tony parker will lead the way from the guard spot. his speed and penetration are virtually unmatched in the nba. he will be able to draw defenses in freeing the many 3pt shooters, such as the ray allen, the leagues best. there is no loss of speed when parker goes to the bench as he is replaced by ellis who may be the only other guard in the league who can match parkers speed. ellis fills the role of 6th man, the microwave off the bench.
ultimate all-around player shawn marion will be the 5th option on offense, which allows him to roam freely creating havoc on the break and on the glass.

Knucklehead (Been arrested)- Lamar Odom
European (No NCAA ball)- Nicolas Batum
Non-European International (No NCAA ball)- Thiago Splitter
Former College Senior - Brenden Haywood
Allstar- Deron Williams
Non-Allstar - OJ Mayo
Drafted 2010 Rookie - Ed Davis
2nd rd/Undrafted 2009/10 Draft- Reggie Williams
White American - Chris Kaman
35+ - Ben Wallace
Journeyman- Stephen Jackson
No known/visible tattoos - Danny Granger
Beast of the Least- Johnny Flynn
Never Been to Playoffs - Jarrett Jack
Over/Undersized - Danilo Gallinari
Coach - Stan Van Gundy
NBA Cheerleader/Wife/Girlfriend of NBA player - Aleka Kamila
Deron Williams/Johnny Flynn/Jarrett Jack
OJ Mayo/Stephen Jackson/Reggie Williams
Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari/Nicolas Batum
Lamar Odom/Thiago Splitter/Ed Davis
Chris Kaman/Brenden Haywood/Ben Wallace
Team Fred is an offensively and defensively well-balanced team who can slash, score from outside or cause damage in the post, and defensively, lock people down. Lead by the best point guard in the league, this team has good passers on every position who can make plays or score on their own. Kaman, Odom and Euroleague-MVP Splitter can score in the low post or kick the ball out on the perimeter where 3point shooting threats like Granger, Deron, Mayo or Gallinari are waiting to pull the trigger. On the bench we have Flynn who can provide instant scoring at the point guard position, Stephen Jackson, backup point guard Jarrett Jack who provides versatility and former NCAA scoring leader, Reggie Williams and who can play either SG or SF. The backups at the small forward position are Gallinari, who's one of the best shooters in the game, and athletic freak Nicolas Batum who can lock anyone down from PG to PF.
This team also has defensively oriented veterans Brenden Haywood and Big Ben Wallace backing up Chris Kaman. If necessary, they could play LB-style defense with a lineup of Deron/Jackson/Batum/Wallace/Haywood. Big guards and swingmen combined with 2 centers who can outrebound completely shut down the opponent.
Defensively, this team has at least average defenders on any position, who are quick, strong, athletic and big. Many of those guys can play and defend at least 2 positions, and team defense should be one of the main strenghts with veterans like Ben Wallace and Stephen Jackson setting the tone. This team also has good rebounders on any position, especially in the froncourt with guys who are capable to grab at least 10 per game.

I like Fred's team so far. It's a pretty impressive line up that is deep and flexible.

Re: Summer Fun - final rosters and voting
Gil/Beaubois/Vasquez
Thornton/Hinrich
Iguodala/Smith/Anderson
Amar'e/Love/Gooden
Nene/Hibbert/Ratliff/Thabeet
Larry Brown is the best coach around at handling strong personalities and making players work on defense. He would be beyond stoked to have a player like Iguodala on his roster locking down the opposition's top perimeter threat and I believe he could get Arenas and Stoudemire to play the best D of their careers. Hinrich is an excellent defender at either guard spot and will be a very solid 3rd guard. Nene is a good enough post defender, while Hibbert and Ratliff will be able to provide minimal defensive drop off.
Offensively, these guys would get easy buckets in transition, but they're built for the half court. Iggy can make plays. Gil can make plays. Cap'n Kirk can make plays. Love can make plays. Lot of shooters. Lot of finishers. Gil, Iggy and Kirk working off the picks from Amar'e would initiate a lot of the sets. The ball can be dumped into Nene or Amar'e in the post. Love will post too, but I think he'd operate a lot from the high post on this team. Gil, Kirk, Roddy and Bootsy can knock down deep shots and Anderson provides the squad with a stretch big. Not great wing depth, but my guards and bigs are so good, that this just needs to be a hustle player, which the rhino definitely is.
Larry Brown, the greatest basketball mind of all time, will throw a lot of different lineups out there depending on how he can best take advantage of what the rube coach on the opposite sideline is doing. Slide Gil to the 2? Fine. 3 guard lineup? No problem. Go big? Also possible.
Bow down to the future champions.

Re: Summer Fun - final rosters and voting
Team Slam-A-Lama-Ding-Dong
PG: Jason Kidd - José Manuel Calderón – JJ Berea
SG: Vince Carter - Jamal Crawford - Terrico White
SF: Gerald Wallace - Jason Richardson
PF: Josh Smith - Carl Landry - Donte Greene
C: Brook Lopez - Darko Buttmuncher - Chris Wilcox - Larry Sanders
Head Coach: Doc Rivers
Doc has already proven that he can take a team of big personalities and create a true team/family/one atmosphere. The Celtics are known to be one of the closest teams and are the pin up for unity. Doc is great at allowing players to be themseleves and play to their strengths rather than force players to conform allowing him to get the most of out them.
The team captain and leader is J.Kidd. He's getting even better with age and is still THE most well rounded PG in the NBA. Backing him is the ultimate team guy who knows his role and will play to it without causing a fuss.
The SG spot is loaded with three guys who can all create their own shot, create for others, shoot from long range and shoot from mid range. They call all also play some point.
The SF spot is held down by your classic slasher and shooter combo, who are both super on the boards and even better on the fast break.
My PF's give length and atheltic ability as well and mobility and defense with Smith and Greene while Landry brings your classic low post grunt scoring and rebounding. All three have mid range J's (Greene out to the 3pt line) meaning they wont crowd the paint on offense and get in Crash or Lopez's way.
Lopez, a legit 7 footer, can score at will inside while doing a good job of protecting the rim. Backing him are two legit shot blocking, rebounding bigs in Darko and Larry with Wilcox bringing some "oomph".
Best thing about my team is how flexible it is.
Kidd can play the 1 or 2
Jose can play the 1 or 2
Carter can play the 2, 3 or 1
Crawford can play the 2 or 1
White can play the 2 or 1
Crash can play the 3 or 4
JRich can play the 3 or 2
Smith can play the 4, 3 or 5
Landry can play the 4 or 5
Greene can play the 4 or 3
Wilcox could play the 5 or 4
Sanders could play the 5 or 4
Darko could munch butts
This would give Doc all sorts of crazy line ups, the ability to play half court P&R all game long with the amount of guys who can run the team and also the ability to get out and run.
I got this comp. I got this.

Head Coach Doc Rivers
main lady Gabrielle Union
Team name: Diabolical Soul men
PG: Rose - R. Stuckey - Barbosa
SG: J.R Smith - S. Young- Q. Richardson
SF: Gay - G. Hill - T. Outlaw
PF: B. Griffin - Jason Thompson - Villanueva
C: Cousins - Bargnani - Hawes
This team is going to be the best because we're the most complete from inside out. My starting point guard D. Rose is arguably one of the top 3 in the league, he is unguardable man to man, he has a deadly mid range game, and is either too strong, too fast, or just too athletic with that 40 inch vertical to be denied when he penetrates. He's a one man fast break and I chose him to be the first player on this team because of his importance and ability to dominate other players and carry teams to victory. he will be surrounded by scorers, shooters, and finishers. The SG Earl Smith III is a talented scorer who once hit 11 3-pointers in a game in 2009 and finished with 45 points, he's outside set up to play off Rose when the double comes, he'll run off alot of picks to get going and will be a option for our unstoppable fast breaks but wait....SF Rudy Gay, another athletic scorer with great finishing abilities is another option on our breaks, and to knock down open jumpers from Rose penetrations, or he can cut to the rim and finish iver top of your slow big men. Then at PF the phenom Blake Griffin is a legit inside scoring threat, he will get planty of looks inside, and he also has a 40 inch vertical to help on the boards and finish plays off for us on the breaks or in a half court offense. The man responsible for get us running my center, D. Cousins, a young big bodied bruiser with great rebounding and scoring ability. This team will play inside out, then Rose will do his thing in spurts, and the others will play off him, but when we get rebounds, we are running, running, running, and this is something your teams really wont be able to handle.
My second unit is led by Stuckey who's a huge point guard with great scoring abilities, he has Sam Young as his SG who's athletic but with good scoring abilities. SF Grant Hill is the veteran to keep them composed but can still make plays, the PF is Jason Thompson who will hit the boards and be our post player, while the center Bargnani is gonna stretch the floor with his deep range.
The third unit is led by another one man fast break in high scoring Leandro Barbosa, the SG is three point threat Q. Richardson, SF is my team's "Crash" Travis Outlaw who can defend, rebound, run and score from anywhere, my power forward is Charlie Villanueva who can take your bigs outside, or inside and he's complimented by playing with the bruising Spencer Hawes. A huge country white boy that hits the boards hard and contrasts to Villanueva's finesse style to make for a nice duo inside.
This team has the championship coaching of Doc Rivers to give us the experience and guidance some said my team lacked and my main lady Gabrielle Union is a fox. We are young but talented, atheltic and skilled, poised and yet still explosive. I think this is the most well rounded and athletic of all the teams, and we have streaky, streaky scorers which is something you don't normally see with great athletes, but not with this team. My athletes can all score, from Rose, Smith, Gay, Griffin, Stuckey, Young, Outlaw, Barbosa, the ones that aren't athletic can still score, like Richardson, Bargnani, Villanueva, Cousins, and I have bruisers to get the boards with Cousins, Hawes, Thompson, and Griffin.

LOL at Carter the PG, Kidd the SG, Smith the C... even though I probably like your team the best so far.

Carter has natural play making and handles, Kidd the size to play the 2 and heck, we often play Diaw at the 5 for a lot of the 4th qtrs we played last season.
Plus, my team has a combined PER of 9,874,845.57 and BEM of -69.69
Oh yeahhhhhhh baby, I got this.

Slam, that front court is disgusting--in a good way. I'd look for Rich to get a ton of minutes off the bench since none of the other forwards can shoot that well.
Fred's starting unit is tops, thus far.

Head Coach Avery Johnson
main lady Gabrielle Union
Team name: Diabolical Soul men
PG: Rose - R. Stuckey - Barbosa
SG: J.R Smith - S. Young- Q. Richardson
SF: Gay - G. Hill - T. Outlaw
PF: B. Griffin -Jason Thompson - Villanueva
This team has the coaching of Avery Johnson to give us the experience and guidance some said my team lacked and my main lady Gabrielle Union is a fox. We are young but talented, atheltic and skilled, poised and yet still explosive. Re: Summer Fun - final rosters and voting
Coach: Scott Skiles
Cheerleader: Elsa Pataky.
Team: Winterfell wolves (has someone read a song of ice and fire?)
Westbrook/Roy/Ariza/Zach Randolph/Marc Gasol
Blake/Brewer/Prince/Jerebko/Varejao
Key reserves: Josh Howard,Shaun Livingston,Eric Dampier and Cole Aldrich.
My team has a solid starting five lineup,an all-star in Roy shooting from the outside,an all-star in the low post with Zach Randolph, who had an incredible season last year,he is a wonderful rebounder, nice shooter from mid range and he has Marc Gasol by his side,a 7 footer with long arms, post presence and good post moves. They are probably one of the best big men duos in the league right now.
On the outside the leader is Brandon Roy,a nice scorer and good passer,a proven leader in a young core like the Blazers. With him Russell Westbrook, one of the fastest and more athletical guys in the league, and Ariza is a good shooter, good athlete and good defensive player. In general terms my first unit is capable of stopping anyone.
Coming from the bench more and more defense,a former all-star in Prince, the security of Steve Blake and then two young guys in Corey Brewer and Jonas Jerebko, the swedish was a steal last year and he is a good defender, perhaps small for his power forward position but a good rebounder, and then Brewer is another top defensive player,Varejao is a former 2nd defensive team member, all passion and energy.
And to compliment I have either Josh Howard to score,Cole Aldrich to block shots and rebound,Damp to play 6-18 minutes a game, and he showed in Dallas last year he is capable of putting up 10-10 numbers, and last but no least a 3rd point guard in Shaun Livingston to give rest to both Russell and Blake.
My coach is a proven winner,an iron sergeant,Scott Skiles, who made the playoffs with a "weak" Bucks squad and has taken the defense as one of his priorities. This team is pure steel.

I like your starting 4 a LOT amcoolio, but your big man dept and lack of a great bench costs you IMO.
But dude, Harris, JJ, PP and KG are a sick foursome (even though KG has lost a step or two further weakening your big man dept).
