requesting perspective on Thomas

Post#1 » by F1uxCapacit0r » Mon Sep 6, 2010 8:22 pm

Hey guys Im a Char fan from north of the boarder. Cats are my second fav team. I love the team make-up and how it's centered around defense. I feel the cats are a PG away from being legit contenders. The cats are basically bizzaro raptors.

That being said, Where i live, there aren't many char. games aired and i was wondering how Thomas fits in with the Cats. My fantasy team auto drafted him but i just dont know if he will get the playing time. I assume you guys prob use diaw as starting PF the spread the floor.

I already have jackson on the team because hes a guarenteed 30+ min so i dont know if thomas will get time. Are you guys expecting 25+ minutes a game from him?

What do you guys expect out of thomas statistically

if he plays 25+ minutes is he capable of something along 8ppg 7rpg 1apg 1.5 stg 2 bpg?

i realize this could go in the fantasy thread but im more interested in what the fans expect. any info is greatly appreciated. Good luck in up coming season

I have pretty high expectations for tyrus. Predicting numbers I'll leave to the others, I imagine we'll trade a number of guys so they'll be irrelevant. Not tyrus though, the fo and lb value him greatly.

Last year he played about 20 min a game and put up solid numbers. Look for Diaw to spend his share of minutes at C with Tyson gone so there could be a little more playing time. If his minutes increase from 20 to 30-35 per game his numbers will be sick. Could be a double/double guy.

That is exactly what I was thinking. I think those numbers are very realistic for TT, barring any injury.

With no low post game and the fact he plays like a small forward without the handles, i'd say his averages will fall around 14pg,8.6rpg,2bpg,1spg.If he could improve his footwork like Landry,he could average around 16-17ppg.Based on the fact his mpg will be around 30-33.
If he can handle playing 35mpg he could easily average a double double.
