Zoom Hyperfuse.
The detial is great!! The fly wire with the suede with the lether is an awesome mix. It's subtle yet defined.
Because I am a big dude with a power game the clunkiness suit me well - as does the extra air max. I tried on Hyperdunks and Hyperize (both air max) and hated them both. Way too narrow, fit poorly and gave zero ankle support.
I don't like zoom's at all. No good for a large human being.

If that's what you like (and by "that", I mean ugly

) then I can't say you're wrong.
I run point so the lightweight, high grip, comfortable with cutting and driving, style works for me. As a post player, I can get your point about the added support for the banging.
I used to wear hyperdunks, and the biggest problem I had with them is that they'd be really stiff for the first few games and then soften up over time. They also didn't have much ankle support, but I've never been one to ham up an injury. Hyperize weren't ever anything I liked (nor anybody else I play with) as they seem like nothing but a bulkier version of the dunks.
However, the Hyperfuse has been one of the best received shoes in a long time. I'd try a pair on and see what you think. They're fantasmal

I was the first person at my school to rock the original Air Jordans. I still remember the day when my mom took me to get these, she was laughing and couldn't believe I wanted them. Everyone at school was in amazement because they had never seen a basketball sneaker like that. Wish I had kept them, probably worth a lot right now...

I haven''t worn Jordan's since I had my pair of XIII's.
The base of those things were rock hard. Had no give in them at all and pretty much sucked to play in but they had the hologram in the collar thoug which was pretty sweet!!

Some of the the Jordan soles were different, for what reasons i don't know like the XII's.

The XI's were one of the more softer, comfortable soles for me.

I had that same pair of cons growing up and I literally wore them until they fell apart.
I finally retired them after a game in middle school. The ref had to stop the game after a player on the opposing team slipped on a mysterious liquid in the lane and busted his ass while attempting an uncontested layup.
While the ref was investigating and another official was mopping up, it finally dawned on me that one of my tattered cons had leaked react juice all over the floor.

What do you guys like about these? They look hideous, but they're suppose to make you jump higher. At $300+ they better do something.
Apparently, they've been banned by the NBA so I guess this company is gonna tank now.

Actually, this start up company couldnt have prayed for publicity better than this. Their product is in the spotlight now and the league's persona non grata treatment tacitly implies that the shoes do indeed do what they say they do.
Chris Ballard gives a video review of the shoes here and, IMO, based on the video, the 3.5 inch claim appears dubious. For $300, I think I'll pass.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/w ... index.htmlBTW, I also recently read somewhere that john starks is releasing his own gimmick shoe which purports to eliminate ankle sprains.

Starbury. I have a friend that swears by them. I'd buy a pair but I don't even know if they're made in size 14.
Personally, a pair of Nike Shox works for me.

I tried the Jordan I's, VI, XI, XII, and the 2010's, used to wear the Air Penny's 1 and 2. Tried 3 or 4 Iverson shoes, had the Hyperdunk 2 years ago, and currently own the Hyperize and Hyperdunks 2010. And I'm telling you, nothing, absolutely nothing comes even close to the Huarache 2k4. If you didn't try them once, there is something missing in your life.
