Hammers: Bobcats Vs Timberwolves

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:58 am

Really hard night to dial them out. No one was truly outstanding or without serious flaws

Gold: T2
Ya, the 7 turn overs sucked, but his energy and effort seemed to will us to victory from the moment he checked in.

Silver: Jax
Nice balanced game by Jax. Half arsed his way through the 1st three qtrs on D, but ramped it up to close out the game. Not overly thrilled with him scoring more than half his fga's from range, but they were dropping I guess.

Bronze: DJ
Ran the team exceptionally well again, got guys easy looks and made massive baskets down the stretch (the 3 ball then the steal and layup)

3 - Crash (17-19 fts, accuracy like that wins you close game)
2 - Jax (great performance)
1 - KWAME BROWN (three blocks in his limited return)

Can't give any love to Tyrus tonight with those turnovers. Causing 43.75% of the teams turnovers is unacceptable.

Each to their own, but you mark T2 down while ignoring Crash throwing the ball back into traffic, missing a FT then fouling Johnson on that inbound which could have sent the game to OT and had him on the bench with 6 fouls?

Gold: Jax NO TO's!!!!

Silver: Crash couple of real bonehead plays, but we won, so all is forgiven

Bronze: DJ

Really wanted to give one to TT, but 7 TO's will never get a Hammer from me.

That was pretty dumb on his part but if he doesn't go 17-19, the game's not even close. He's shooting 75% on the season and if he had shot that tonight, that would be a four or five point difference. I'll give him a pass because his FT shooting kept the game close.

Gold: Jackson - really played well tonight. 5/6 from the rainbow and ZERO turnovers!

Silver: Augustin – ran the team well and a point short from his third consecutive double-double. Plus that steal and the layup was the turning point of the game.

Bronze: Wallace – cannot finish at the rim tonight but did well on the charity stripe.

HM: Thomas – he's really the X-factor for this team. He could easily have a hammer if not for those 7 TOs.

Jack- Shot well, no TO's, didn't force anything. I'm good with him shooting open threes, and he knocked them down tonight.

Tyrus- You can yell 7 TO's until you're blue in the face, but he was a huge spark that helped us win, and that's what the hammer is about.

Crash- Great FT shooting, but he didn't seem his normal self.

gold - jax - did anyone mention he had 0 turnovers?
silver - tyrus - his energy really impacted the game. turnovers were mostly a function of super aggressive play. i can live with that..... sometimes.
bronze - wallace - was having an off night but found a way to contribute

hm - dj

Jax - No turnovers

DJ - Now he just needs to find, figure out that balance between running a teams offense and scoring

Tyrus - yeah his 7 turnovers were BAD but his good - 2 steals,4 blocks,20 points 10 boards outweighed his bad - 7 turnovers, tonight that's for sure. Easily would have the gold if he only had 3-4 turnovers.

I'm giving Tyrus the Gold. He did things that we don't normally count on him to do.

Jax gets the silver. This is what we signed him for, but 5/6 from the 3 is something special. And 0 Turnovers!

DJ gets the bronze for his damn near double double. I think I might pick him up in my fantasy league.

Gold - The refs. Beasley was hacked like a mofo on the strip in the lane, and Tolliver should have got the call on the 3 at the end.

Gold - Jax. He really knocked down those open 3's which brought us back to game.
Silver - Wallace. Did the work when this was most needed
Bronze - DJ. Really did nice overall game and knocking down that vital 3 in the end, showed us some real nerves

HM - TT. Really good hustle

Lowrider - Diaw. How you can miss 2 open 3's that you barely hit the rim? OH my god. You are professional, not amateur.

You need to add a silver and a bronze for your vote to count.

No player has ever or will ever get that call, let alone Anthony freaking Tolliver.

Well, maybe Kobe or LeBron get the call. But no one else. Heck, if you fart near Kobe or LeBron, the refs blow the whistle.

Many players will get that call throughout the game, but not at the end of a close game unless they're Kobe, Wade, etc. It was a stupid play by SJax, and he's somewhat fortunate the refs chose not to be the guys who decided the game.

I give credit to the Bobcats for capitalizing on the opportunity presented to them, but the key to the game was Minnesota not being able to make shots down the stretch due to having both hands wrapped firmly around their collective necks.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Right but from the perspective of a T-Wolves fan, they did by not calling something that should be a foul. The fact that we talk about certain players getting that call and others not just shows how bad the officiating in the NBA is. A foul should be a foul, no matter who is involved.
