if crash gets another concussion...

... he might have to be like this dude and wear a boxing helmet.

John Peckinpaugh dreaded playing basketball in a boxing helmet in front of a hostile crowd, so imagine his surprise last week when Xavier students largely ignored his clumsy headgear.

"They were making fun of my red hair," the Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne junior said. "I'm like, 'Why are you guys making fun of my hair? I have a boxing helmet on.'"

LOL at least he has a good sense of humor about it.

If anything, I think it's cool that he gets to wear a helmet. He should get one that matches his uniform. And cool space-man goggles.

:), we think alike. Or some rugby helmet (which is from ÄŒech's one is derived I think). I guess they might want boxing helmet for better jaw protection but still.

I think they should wear the helmets Aussie Rules players used to wear in the 80's.

Bit like your footy helmets but with some padding on the outside. Gotta give you an advantage knowing you could headbutt anyone and not feel it.

Dam and I thought football was violent! Jesus how does he get 4 in a year, is he using his head to block shots?
Devilzsidewalk wrote:no, the DB's will just be thinking "damn, I thought that was going to be a run!" as they easily recover to intercept a Ponder pass 10 yards off the mark
