Thanks for getting us to the playoffs, even though you were openly courting jobs in other cities while we were there.

Thank you for wanting to leave during the summer but not having the balls to quit because you don't want to leave money on the table.

And thank you for ruining the 2010-11 season for the Bobcats.

I appreciate getting what he could out of his roster last year. He took us to the playoffs and that was awesome.

What he did after he got us to the playoffs...well...this is an LB appreciation thread...

That's like getting shot by a doctor, and then thanking him for performing life saving surgery.

I'm thankful that he got us our first ever playoff appearance, and for bringing credibility to our team after the Vincent debacle.
Humble yourself.

DJ sucks but Lopez isn't exactly the second coming of Wilt Chamberlain. I wouldn't even want Lopez and his 6 rpg along with his crappy defense. We should have drafted Slam's boy Roy Hibbert.

Even LB would be happy, if his comments about our bigs are any indication.

Thanks to Larry for leading the cats to the playoffs last year and for preaching some killer defense, sorry you outstayed your welcome... should have followed your intuition and left before camp started.

And thanks for standing up for your players when needed (excluding this season) and being the only coach with the balls to say this to a ref:

I'm still not sure who quit on who first. Oh well. Thanks LB, for reminding me of Professor Farnsworth these past two years.

Larry got a raw deal. This is a horrible team. No point guard, no center. Tyrus Thomas is a chronic underachiever and Jackson and Wallace shooting in the low 40s.

I guess someone has to take the fall.

Larry, you did what you do best: find a team that is on the cusp of accomplishing something (making the playoffs, in our case), mortgage its future to get just enough talent to eke out a few extra wins so you can take credit for accomplishing that something, then leave behind a disaster. You're like the Phil Jackson of mediocrity: instead of sniffing out superstars and leading them to championships, you sniff out average teams and make them slightly above average.

He actually had 3 point guards (DJ, Shaun, Tank) and 3 centers (Nazr, Kwame, Diop)

Wow! Thank you SUN for creating an appreciation thread for LB. I'm surprised a Suns fan (and not a Bobcats fan) would have the initiative to create one.

Thank you Larry for bringing us into the playoffs; for helping Wallace be an All-Star; for being behind the back of the players and barking on the referees; for making the team fun to watch last season with our takeaway defense; and for bringing respectability to the Bobcats.

I wished that you'll stay longer with the team and finish your contract. But then again, that will never happen. I hope you'll just stay in Philadelphia together with your wife and two teenage kids. I also hope to see you on TV from time to time. All the best! Merry Christmas!
