What Will Be Larry Brown's Bobcats Legacy?

Pretty simple question. In your opinion what will be the thing that Larry Brown will best be remembered for when it comes to the Bobcats (and only the Bobcats)?

Will it be for a good thing?

Will it be for a bad thing?

Bad IMO I think hes a bad coach, yes he did good things for the franchise, such as taking us to the playoffs (just to get swept), but I think we could have gotten there in the past few years if we had a coach worth a damn.

It will be negative. He had about 1/2 a good season out of the entire time he was here. We got swept, nothing worth remembering in a good light.

Probably 60-40 bad-good. The way he went out was pretty ugly after a reasonably successful year last year. If the Cats turn it around this year then it'll be 80-20 bad-good as the evidence of him holding the team back would then be quite strong.

I get the impression that most of the fan bases of his teams end up hating him. Even Piston fans don't seem to happy with him, and he won a championship there.

He'll be known as the guy that got us over the hump and into the playoffs.

Positive.

Yeah, this. But either way it will likely be considered a footnote in both LB's and the Bobcat's history books. IMO LB wasn't a bad coach, he's just rigid and firm in his approach to coaching and the team/FO didn't buy into his style this year as much as they did last, mostly b/c our "best" players, Jax and Wallace, are too moody to display actual leadership.

i think this question should be asked again at the end of the season. right now, everyone is bitter and looking at game 1 of the silas era. let emotions settle a little.

LB's legacy will be a mixed bag. He will be known for the trades he made, both good and bad, for getting this team into the Playoffs for the first tiem, and for his controversial handling of the players and his stubborn attitude against any youth movement being incorporated into the lineups. But sadly, the end will ivevitably be piggy-backed on top of what happened in New York and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth of LB fans.

Maybe partially but not even close to being entirely true.

He's a bad coach and a NIGHTMARE in the locker room, he's stuck in his pig headed "play basketball the right way" way attitude. It's such a condescending phrase.

All he did was take a Detroit team that was put together and molded by Rick Carlisle and was already poised to be a contender and win with them, but that had more to do with him getting Rasheed IMO.

I hate the guy, wouldn't hire him in this league.

Oh so now he's a "bad coach." GTFO with that childish nonsense. How many years have you been following the NBA? 5? :-?
