Why isn't Kuwamee getting minutes?

Kuwamee is on IR? Is he hurt OR not running?
Orlando is looking for a backup for Howard
5793054 trade Collins/Kuwamee to Orlando for Ryan Anderson
Bring up another NBDL point.
This gives us outside 3 shooter in a big 6'10" and a rebounder and someone who RUNS

I don't know what's up with Kwame, but I'd make that deal for Anderson in a heartbeat...they wouldn't.

Kwame probably isn't playing because he has no hands and his shot is arguably more broken than Diop's...

NOBODY'S shot is more broken than Diop, he may be the most unskilled player I've ever seen in the NBA. Kwame is Olajuwon compared to him. Like I said before, If you can consistently hit the rim on Free throws, which Kwame can, you are a better shooter than Diop.
I agree with the theory that he's in the shop window. They probably see Kwame and Diop as being comparable and are playing Diop to let him try and impress other teams.

agreed. diop makes chris dudley look like an offensive stud.

Yep - I think he's being shopped as well. He was mentioned in a couple of the recent trade rumors.

I'm all for playing Diop and sitting Kwame for the time being if it gives us even the slightest hope of moving him.

Have to up Diop's trade value...now is the perfect time to do so, so let it be.

I know we seem to have considered Diaw as our best psot defender. But could it be Diop instead? Also, I've never seen another guy tip so many rebounds, especially on offense.

Kwame wasn't playing because Silas thinks Mohammed is more gifted offensively which is probably true. I ignore comments that say things about Kwame because he was a #1 draft pick bust. He doesn't have great hands, but he does know how to move around down low to get open and he knows when to get out of the way. He is servicable and is a very very good defensive player. My wish though is that shoot 60% from the free throw line. He has the stroke and form. he has done it before.
With the lineup that usually starts, Kwame is a good fit. He also can guard Power Forwards when needed. You have the negatives with Kwame, like steamrolling over defenders for charges or not be able to harness semi-off target passes, but he makes up for it in other areas.
I think he may get traded to another team that needs a big if Charlotte is far out of the race, but with DIop out now who knows.
Kwame was playing decently before Silas stepped, and now has put together 2 back to back quality starts all things considering.

Kwame has some of the worst hands I've ever seen. I don't care if they're small, I've seen toddlers catch things better than he does. But if he can give us 8 points and 14 rebounds every night then we basically have a very poor man's Okafor so that's cool.

Yes good form...not a good stroke..bad choice of words.

We should realize that Kwame's offensive confidence will grow with more consistent minutes. Last time he got consistent minutes is when he was with the Lakers and he was productive with them (and I know not Gasol productive). Historically, he has played well against some of the top big men in the game.

His form and stoke are both atrocious.
I wonder if any site keeps a stat of who in the league has the most bonus FTA's due to opposing players entering the key too early? Kwame would have to lead in that cat - because his FT form and stroke are SO herky jerky.
He looks like he is going to slap himself in the side of the head anytime he takes a FT.

Kwame has to have the lowest FT trajectory in the NBA. It's seriously probably about a 20 degree angle from hand to basket.

It's pretty bad.

He's not exactly 18 years old anymore.
