No setbacks for #Bobcats F Gerald Wallace at shootaround. Good to go tonight vs CHI in return from ankle injury

#Bobcats coach Paul Silas says 3-gm stretch CHI, BOS, NO will be good barometer. "We played well, but not against real good teams so far"

Silas says ready throw Wallace out there tonight in return from ankle. "I've got Henderson if it doesn't work out. But I think it will"

MJ very hands on of late. At practice Tues, shootaround today. Silas: "That's cool. He's got a lot to say and it's usually on the money"

Silas on MJ: "Everything he talks about is positive. It's nothing negative so it's all good. Not too many owners come around like that"
mikecranston1 Mike Cranston
Silas says MJ at practice yesterday was "talking to the guys about good passes and that kind of thing." Maybe talking about Jack's passes?

#Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau raving about Kwame: "Some people have criticized him but I think he's a terrific defender. Think he plays hard"

I love the line about Henderson. Shows exactly where Hendo is in his development. Sure you'd rather have Jax and Wallace, but Hendo doesn't disappoint either.

For all his faults no one can knock Kwame about his effort. He really gets after it.

Geez the Bulls are a bad match up for us - and pretty much at every position. The only position we have an advantage at is the SG position.
4 of their 5 starters match up equally or better than ours.
They have a deeper bench.
They are well coached.
Plus they have Kurt Thomas' crazy eyes.

Its not
that bad of a matchup. DJ's played well against Rose in the past... well enough for me not to be starting a candle light vigil for him ahead of time. Diaw's been playing excellent defense all season long against the best low post guys in the league. I don't see Boozer flatout dominating us unless Diaw gets into foul trouble. Chicago won't have its best shotblocker - good for Wallace.
As for well coached... Thib's got better lately, but he's made plenty of dumb moves throughout the season.
Should be a good barometer though. I don't expect a win as much as I expect a good game.

Yeah, our worst position right now is C, and they don't have much of a C roatation either. Kwame will be able to help Diaw a bit on defense too.

I dunno about that, DJ always plays 110% against derrick rose. so its a lot clsoer then you would think. Jax is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> keith bogans so its not even close. i mean thats enough to equalize. Crash is better then deng. Diaw IMO is better then Taj. but Boozer is better then kwame, but they don't involve Boozer in the offense like the Jazz did where he dominated us. I think the matchups are a lot closer then we think.

DJ has played Rose well in the past, but Rose is playing at another level these days - and short of Kwame, T2 or Crash having a monster game protecting the rim I think that Rose is going to have a fun time attacking our some what weak interior D.
Diaw has been playing well, and maybe he can use that big French badonkadonk to keep Boozer off the glass, but I can see Boozer going for 20/20 tonight.

Key for me. So long as there is no blow out and we stick to what we have been doing and what has been working (pushing the ball, great team D, closing out on shooters etc) then I will be ok.

That's what I am worried abiout Crunk. Our worst position is C and Rose attacks the paint like no man's business. I think he'll have his way with us on the drive tonight - unless either T2 or Crash can swat his first few shots and get up inside his head like T2 did against Gay.

This season. Wallace hasn't been anywhere near as good as Deng. Nowhere remotely close.

Biggest thing for me would be to see the team go through an entire game without any embarrassing cold spells.
Also, Derrick Brown needs to get it together. He's played some of the worst basketball I've ever seen as of late.

I tweeted Henderson yesterday asking him to be more aggressive on his driving, penetration game.
I also commended him on his play of late.
Key for me tonight is, how well Wallace and Jack play together as opposed to Jack and Henderson. I prefer the Jack - Hendo wing combination.

I think the biggest thing tonight is to see how Wallace fits back into this lineupe at close to 100 percent. I would love to see Wallace have a lot of success, but I will miss the ability to have a guy who can make a mid-range shot next to Jackson. So I will be very interested to see if Wallace can come in here and kepe us rolling.
A win here could go a long ways. We got a tough 3 game stretch, we need to win at least 1 of these games. i think this will be a GREAT chance to grab the W at home. I don't neccessarily expect a W, but i expect a little more than just a good game. I really think we can win this game with the way we have been playing of late. This is a scary stretch for us because now we are actually playing talented teams. Was this recent streak against bad teams just that, against bad teams? OR was it forreal and we will continue it against good teams. How we look these next 3 games could really have a HUGE impact on how this season turns out....it could either spur trades or put trades to rest.

Boozer is going to be a handful, I remember he always used to feast on the Bobcats when he was with the Jazz
