HA HA HA!!! The idiot GM at Denver kept twirling the Nets around the block, pushing for more, more, more. The owner now says that's it, no more pursuit, and reportedly the Nuggets are upset.

Frankly I'm more sick of the Melo thing than the "decision" crap. At least that had a set date and ending.

Whatever begins now with next steps of possible trades, I hope we're not involved. I think Denver is a polluted organization, with a putz GM. Unless they come to us with a deal ready to go that is in our favor (I seriously doubt it),

I hope Melo blows out his knee and never recovers. I'm so sick of the primadonna star attitude and only wanting to play in a few markets. The NBA better suspend Melo 50 games to prove a point that this sort of crap will not happen again.

Guess they'll be taking whatever the Knicks want to give them now.

To think they wanted 5......FIVE 1st rounders. CRAAAAAAAAZYYYYYY. They'll settle for whatever NY offers.

Sometimes it better to tell that beautiful chick that keeps giving you the run around to F off its better for the both of us....but I dont know this may be good for some team.....they maybe able to work a dealline deal for melo on the cheap cause i know the nuggets dont want to end up like the cavs

Nets would've been completely stupid to make a deal like that. It's a rental for half the season without any guarantee you keep him for good. How would you build talent around him with no draft picks the next half decade?

Like if I'm the Knicks or Nets, I'm just waiting this year out and bidding on him this summer. This way I get my superstar and didn't have to give up jack *!@#.

I would have agreed with you before, but now I don't anymore. Simply put, now that the Nets have pulled out ( ) of the trade talks, the Nuggets have no more leverage, so I think the Knicks would be dumb not to try and get him as quickly as possible. Even if there is a good chance they could get him in free agency, when you are given the opportunity to get such a player in your team, you just do it. You don't want to take any risk, you never know what could happen. The Nuggets could make a miraculous run in the playoffs changing Melo's decision, the new CBA could change how contracts work... You never know. If I'm the Knicks I'm definitely pushing for Melo, especially since the Nuggets are now in a bad position to be asking for a lot.

PS: Another scenario would be Anthony going to the Bulls, in which case I think he would stay since they would have a very good team. I don't think it will happen since they don't want to give up Noah (and they shouldn't give him up, oh no they shouldn't !), but still, once again, if you're the Knicks, you have to do everything possible to get such a superstar.
