I feel Wallace is exactly what the Magic need, a guy who isn't gonna camp at the 3 pt line, plays D and isn't afraid of contact.

I know you guys are high on Wallace but things aren't looking too great for you guys this season and M.J hasn't been quiet about his wanting to to make changes with the core.

J Rich can't be combined with another player in a trade for a while.

Yeah, there would need some ironing out, but what do you think of the general idea?

I guess it's not TOO bad. It's a big expiring and a prospect, if an underwhelming one. Duhon is an OK backup PG I suppose, and it's not paid outrageously. Overall it's just not terribly exciting.

Only if we shared the championship banner for merging our teams together

First of all, Wallace at SG would be a disaster. His shooting even makes him look bad at SF, let alone at SG.

Anyway I think I would do that trade. I would love to bring J-rich back. He needs to be in a run and gun offense. He averaged close to 20 in Pheonix and is only averaging 14 in Orlando. He would be good for our system and is a huge expiring. I like it. I want NO part of Duhon though....

Especially when we already have the bionic knee backing up the point at $3.5 mil per.

Also, can't afford to trade Nazzy unless another C is coming back because that would leave Kwa-Man as our only true 5 (and no, Orton is FAR too raw to help out)

I'd like Richardson back. I don't know that we can afford to give up Nazr, though. Center is already a precarious position for us. If the filler could be worked out, I might be interested. We still have problems scoring, but moving Jackson to SF and putting Richardson at SG would help that a lot.

Not while we are in playoffs mode.

Besides, we do this trade and we would have to cut two players off our roster in order to make room, so essentially we would be forced to give up a kid like D.Brown - who still has upside.

I really think this works best for all parties:

If Diop was healthy I could see Orlando making a trade fro him, but not while Diop is out.

Thy were talking on the Drive and Marc James said Fred Whitfield told him they are VERY active in the trade front. I fully expect SOME type of trade to go down...

With Tyrus out we really need a back up PF and Clark could fill that role.

As the OP stated:

If that is the case, giving up a role player like Clark shouldn't hold you back from giving you exactly what you need.

If Orlando wants to trade for Wallace (and God I hope they do) I'm sure they'll find a way to get it done. Charlotte seems to like JRich back so I think the "fillers" in this trade wouldn't be a problem ..
