Hex the Hornets/pacers - the other teams thread

Post#1 » by MPM » Mon Feb 28, 2011 3:04 am

Alright, y'all. The time has come. Our old namesake dropped one to the Rockets tonight. We need to work together to encourage an ugly Hornets tailspin to ensure we creep up the 1st round ladder. Please use this topic to send your worst - your evilest eye, most profane curses and illest will.

Let her rip. Let's have some fun with this.

For those so inclined, you can send a voodoo curse to the Hornets organization: http://www.pinstruck.com

Is there protection on the pick from them? I thought I read somewhere it is lottery protected for a few years.

I think it's top 7 protected. So #8 pick or bust! Actually it would be funny if the cards played out to where we got their pick, and it was #8 and then also got Chris Paul. Although I guess if we got Chris Paul we'd have to say goodbye to that pick.

I wouldn't shed a tear over that pick. But if we get Chris Paul, he'll just rid the pine behind DJ and Livingston. I don't know why everyone is so excited.

hornets are 3-7 of their last 10, and are really slumping. i really do think they'll fall outta the playoffs

With our luck, they'll end up getting a top five pick or something.

No, with our luck they will get the 7th pick, fluke into drafting a franchise changer and the pick we get from them the following year will be the 29th over all.

Monitoring the Pacers and Hornets games..

Post#14 » by asero » Wed Mar 2, 2011 1:08 am

Let's see how much luck would smile at our team by having these two teams struggle in their remaining games this season

So far, Toronto is stamping their claws on the Hornets while indiana lost a double digit lead is now now trailing the warriors in the 2nd quarter

If Toronto holds on and beat NO, and Portland wins later tonight, then NO loses 2 places in the standings. They will drop behind both Denver and Portland, and they will only have about a 1.5 lead on 8th. Actually Memphis is playing San Antonio and winning, so if we get lucky, the Hornet lead over 8th could be down to only 1 game. There are 20 games left, but there is a real chance that NO pick is a late lottery pick.

Haha, I love this thread. Great idea!

Hopefully hornets and pacers drop like a rock, but I don't see it happening. Luckily for us we helped Portland improve by giving them Wallace and in turn they can surpass NO and knock them down in the standings! Oh and Go Denver too....haha.
