diaw took 0 shots in 25 minutes vs pacers. how is that possible?

its definitely time for silas to see what tyrus or white can do with starter minutes.

thoughts?

Hopefully Silas realizes that tonight was the night, and now its time to cut the vets and play the young guys to see what we have. I am extremely disappointed in Diaw...I loved the trade at the time and those few months after we acquired Diaw and he was playing out of his mind it was awesome.

Sad thing is, he'll probably tear it up next year because its a contract year so we might as well hold on to him.

TT looks way off he shouldnt be playing right now.....i say we shelve him and jack and start white and go FULL (Please Use More Appropriate Word)

I'm just afraid the Bucks will out lose us to close the season out. Right now we're in the 9th draft spot, could possibly nab 8 if the Clips can pass us. We play Detroit and the Bucks soon so if we can drop games to them and just end this season on a nice skid we'll be in good shape heading into the draft. Good players have come in the 5-8 range many times before.

unbelievable and inexcusable for a starting player on an NBA team to not attempt a shot at all. i don't care if he had 20 assists, that is hurting the team to an unthinkable degree. wallace is gone, jackson is very hobbled, kwame is kwame, and there are two young players who are trying to find their confidence, and you don't even throw up one shot in the entire game. unbelievable.

I would shelve Jax and TT with their injuries and start White.

Lets see what the young fella can do.

Do you think Diaw was possibly pulling an Agent Zero and deliberately not taking shots or was just being his lackadaisical self?

Diaw and Silas doesn't mix well, thats for sure.

gotta figure cats will push hard to trade diaw this summer. he is better off with a playoff team surrounded by scorers where he can just pass and play defense. diaw should have some decent value on the trade market. versatile big man with only one year on contract.

Damnit. Silas get Boris out of here! Were obviously not going anywhere now, so what good does it do to continue to start guys like Diaw? Lets give a lot of minutes to DJW and see how he produces. What is the harm in that? I would love to see what TT could do as a starter, as that is probably our future, however it appears that he is just not right. I agree with others. DIaw should be bench, we need to shut down Jack and probably Thomas. Shut down Pryz as well. Give heavy minutes to DJ/Liv/Hendo/Cunnigham/DJW/Kwame/Temple. Those are the guys we really need to see playing. In a perfect world, I would start Cunningham AND DJW with Jack out. I would then have Diaw off the bench as a guy who could play SF, PF, or C.

Major DITTO. Play the french metrosexual as 6th man, where we can hope he does enough decent things to make playoff teams want him this offseason. Tank while trying things with the other guys, letting Jax and TT rest up and heal. I'd use Pryz if possible but don't overwork him either.

I cannot fathom having to endure another season of Diaw.

You know when Boris Diaw was with the Suns he was one hellav 6th man. When he came hear Larry Brown was so structured Boris was told when to shoot and when not to shoot or drive. With D'antonia as coach he was free to run and actually brought energy off the bench. He looked last night like he was afraid to shoot. If I could give Silas one piece of advice for the rest of the season it would be to make Boris 6th man and bring him in at the 3 and force him to shoot by up tempoing. Start TT and back him up with White at 4. split their minutes at first and let the stats determine who starts the next game. If Jaxs hamstring keeps him out the next two weeks do the same with Dmac and Cunn at the 3.
For 4 -5 games rotate Temple and Henderson and Carroll at 2, but give Temple at least 12 minutes a game and decide from stats whether he is a keeper or not. Keep the point and 5 rotation as is.

If Diaw still Refuses to shoot then trade him at draft time to move up to pickup another young center or 3.
If Cunn and Dmac's stats don't improve release them and sign a free agent 3 in off season.
Try to resign DJ aug and if not trade Jax for veteran point.
