If we were trying to win, I'd probably do #19 for Ramon Sessions.

Really, none of the trades interest anyone? Ramon Sessions and Daniel Gibson are both very good players... who would you be targeting with your pick then?

Re: 19th pick trade?
I think you're overrating both of those players a bit. We have DJ and Hendo as the starters at guard so why give up a mid first pick for a bench player?
And our targets for that spot are likely Hamilton and Singleton

MJ wants to get rid of the big salary players, especially the older players... Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson were both in the trade rumors, but Wallace was moved first, and I think they are still going to try to move Jackson to cut salary... MJ is all about saving money right now... why else would u trade away your best player. Bobcats are looking to get younger talent with lower salaries... Boobie and Sessions would help them do that.

Not nearly as much as the 19th pick might.

Your talking like you know more about OUR team than we do. Trust me, we all know a lot better than you do what MJ wants and doesn't want to do. Mj is a big Stephen Jackson fan and while he may jump a way to cut salary by trading jackson, I don't think he would do it for just a TPE. As for why we traded our best player, it was about saving money but that is not the whole story. Mj made a decision that we would be nothing better than the a possible 6th seed with the roster we had, so he acknowledged that we had to blow it up and start over to add more younger talent. So it was by no means all about salary, but that was a part of it. Anyway, what is the point of getting younger talent with lower slaries when they don't fill any kind of need? Especially Sessions. Were already set at PG and for what we lack in SG depth we could easily fill with the 19th pick for much cheaper.

That's it. Currently we have Augustin as servicebale starting point guard and Livingston as his backup under contract. So there is a no big need for another PG. Personally i don't insist of keepin 19th pick as it may happen to be a spot where all iteresting players of one tier would be gone and qality gets a bit worse. The thing is I (and probably more of us, but I would rather speak for me only) would get higher or lower (or future) pick back or some asset for future. We are trying to rebuild as do you so any trade is bit unlikely to happen. Let's see

thoughts?
4) we have enough holes to fill, this maybe welcomed by Phoenix cheap owners ut surely not by us fans and Jordan would probably thought twice as he kind of needs to shed that cheap label (bit unfair to him, but still) ; it is basically selling the pick with 54th as a consolidation price, but even in this weak draft where offers to buy a pick will be rare it is not enough - if for nothing more then because it would be hardly justifiable towards casual fans
3) same as for plus Jackson for Sessions and Gibson;
- Jackson is better value
- both incoming players are PGs (we have Augustin and Livingston already) and too small to play SGs (we have Henderson and Carroll's under contract) so there is little gain
- neither is young enough to be considered a promising prospect for future
- as a pure salary dump it doesn't work very well and in addition we should be trading down 35 spots in this year draft, when we are giving up more and aren't receiving an extra pici back -> NO
2) we get rid of useful player which some centender would like to add sooner or later, getting cap space, fine but wedon't receive anythign else whatsmore we are sending a pick away -> no way; cehck Gerald Wallace trade to Portland, that's a kidn of trade involving Jack we would do (his contract is not particularly long neither he is a ded weight and so far he doesn't eat minutes from signicant propect)
1) It can easily happen that we wouldn't get a better player than Session with 19th pick; but Session would create logjam at PG (could be solved by Livingston health issues), is not particularly young to be part of our future and most importantly we don't need him now; another thing is that DJ seems to be a bit uncomfortable directly competing for his spot but that might be just Larry Brown breaking him bad way - so i would rather prefer to stick with him or when he doesn't pan out bringing cleat upgrade for starting spot which Sessions is not; Session's contract is not that small so i wouldn't rule out some unwanted cap space impact - we still have enough contracts to shed
We are getting nowhere in next tow years so we don't have to force things and we may rather just wait till bad contracts expire, cumulating propsects and future assets.

Re: 19th pick trade?
The only deal that might make sense is the Stephen Jackson cut. Getting rid of those two years of salary would be pretty helpful in the rebuilding effort... though we don't know what the new CBA looks like so it's tough to say how important that will actually be. Under the current rules, we'd be back under the salary cap, which could be helpful.

Re: 19th pick trade?
I'm interested, but not as they stand now. It's a good starting point. Ramon Sessions isn't bad, but he'd be kinf od superfluous on this team. If we could get a center who is about as young and currently not that awesome I'd be closer to biting.
