Chad Ford's Day Of Mock

9. Kawhi
19. Brooks
39. M. Lee

Talent wise, i'm not mad at that. Would like to see a big in the first, but I can't really argue with those choices. Lee is a bargain in the 2nd, so I would be happy with that.

This is such an unusual draft - it's the first draft in years where I haven't had clear cut preferences.

I would be happy with Leonard, Biyombo, Singleton at 9.
Vujecic (sp?), Brooks, or Burks if he free falls to 19.
Darius Morris, M. Lee, Reggie Jackson, Jeremy Tyler, even Ben Hansborough at 39.

It's such a crap shoot. I'm just hoping Cho and team make it a bit of a roller coaster ride for us and don't whitebread this draft by going the Marcus Morris route.

I'm not physically taking the day off from work, but will be mentally checked out all day.

YAY DRAFT DAY!

Fats I wish I could take the day off. Big day for our family...obtain ID of grandchild to be (boy or girl) followed by family gathering this evening (Happiness, but also ARGH!!!&*&(!!) My draft will be in the form of a quick catch -up via DVR and web.

Leonard seems to be sliding back in several mocks on draft day (thank goodness). I still do not get the love for that guy...I'd prefer Singleton over him if I had to pick between them at 9. Ford's mock this morning has Kemba going to Sacramento, so the Walker tease may not be an option. I really, really would like to deal with Houston, and draft Vucevic at 14. One report now says the chatter for the Cats and Houston might be deal the 9 for their 14 and their 1st next year. That's an even better deal if it were to happen.

14 - Vucevic + 19 - Hamilton =

jon g's in depth yahoo mock, picks the same as posted on dx, just more detail

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... cn-8686843

9 Charlotte Bobcats
Chris Singleton, SF
21 years old; 6-9, 230
Florida State, junior

While many thought the Bobcats would relish the opportunity to select sophomore Kawhi Leonard if Sacramento elected to pass on him, it’s actually Singleton that is the top wing player on their board, particularly if Bismack Biyombo is already taken. Singleton would fill a significant hole for the team at the small forward position and would likely be its best defender from Day One. Kemba Walker will also get strong looks from Michael Jordan’s group.

9 Charlotte Bobcats (from New Orleans Hornets)
Alec Burks, SG
19 years old; 6-6, 195
Colorado, sophomore

This would be a dramatic slide for Alec Burks, largely because of other guard and wing prospects such as Marshon Brooks, Jimmer Fredette and Chris Singleton making significant leaps up the board. Charlotte would likely snatch him up in a heartbeat and could end up giving him significant playing time considering how depleted the Bobcats’ backcourt is. The son of their top executive, Rod Higgins, was Colorado’s second-leading scorer after Burks this season, meaning the team should know everything there is to know about Burks.

That is, if the team will be drafting here at all. This pick is reportedly available.

My final draft day decision after umming & ahhing would be 9.Leonard/Biyombo-Whoever's available out of those 2 or Morris/Burks if neither BB or KL are available.

19.Markieff Morris/Faried/Shumpert-Whoever's available & dependent on who we pick at 9.

39-jordan Williams/Keith Benson or Greg Smith if neither are available.

This would be my ideal draft.

Kemb at 12- would be surprised if he was available.

Jonas over Tristan.

I would make both of these decisions in a heartbeat.

I still say that if Kemba is there at 9 then they won't pass him up. MJ won't be able to resist. And from what Detroit is saying, I doubt that Leonard is there at 9. I Just hope we don't try to trade both picks to move up to 7 to take Leonard. I also hope we stay away from 9 for Maynor.

If/when Leonard is gone and Kemba is there, and you see us trade the pick, then that would be a pretty good sign that Cho in fact is running the show and not MJ. Similar to when MJ wanted Lopez but he let LB pick DJ. If we do the Houston trade I think that Singleton and possibly even Kemba might still be there. Another guy I would look at 14 that may not be there otherwise would be Vucevic. He's the tallest guy in the draft and probably the best rebounder while also having a good outside shot. I also have a sneaking suspicion that Jordan Hamilton might still be there at 19, and possibly Marshon Brooks at 23.

BTW, has anyone seen Bilas' mock draft? I don't think he pays attention to ANY of the news of what teams are looking for and what they have thought of players....

I cannot help myself. I am really starting to pull hard for Biyombo. Kid just has so much confidence, so much hustle, and he may give us a defensive presence in the middle we have not had since we were the Hornets with Zo in the middle. And Silas says he has more offense than advertised. I have to trust Cho, MJ, Rod and Silas. I will support their decision. I like Leonard, Burks, Klay Thompson and would hold my nose but still support Twin #1 at pick #9. But if you ask me who I "like" and could "cheer for", Biyombo would be him. And Hamilton at #19 would make it much much easier to be happy with the picks.

Cant promise my mind wont change a dozen times over the next 10 hours, but this is how I see it right now.

I honestly think they would take Jimmer.

I would be happy with Kemba at 9 and Hamilton at 19. Still would love to find a way to throw Vucevic into that mix...

I would be happy with that but would also be trying hard to trade a player into the draft to get Vucevic.

I think the Cats are resigned to the notion of taking Vucevic if he somehow falls to 19 but doing nothing else to take him earlier. Hard to understand, as we need a 5 so badly. So, while not necessarily my choices, here are my final predictions on who we draft in round 1 (barring no trade):

#9: We will take guys in this order of availability: Biyombo, Kemba, Leonard, Singleton.

#19: Vucevic (if we don't take BB), Burks (Higgins gets his way), Hamilton, Brooks.
