We definitely have room at SG with Hendo injured and Hammer being subpar, and SF with Maggette being the only one on the roster. Do you guys think we give any of these undrafted players a workout deal?

surely if we need a sf we will keep Cunningham.

My thinking is we re-sign Dante and go after a SG in FA. It seems daft not to since they didn't bother to pick any of these guys up in the 2nd rd.

I would target Greg Smith of Fresno State.

I'd be on the phone to Lighty and Greg Smith right now inviting them into the fold.

I have a feeling that Hansborough will be a rotation player in the NBA. We could do much worse than to invite him in to back up DJ/Kemba for cheap.

We should sign Lighty,Richmond & Smith definitely...Call me crazy but I've wanted Smith for a while now & Richmond has awesome upside & fills a position of need & while Lighty is a finished product he would be perfect for this team.

I would rather have Richmond,Lighty & Smith for basically the same price as Dante I'm down for that.

With Hansbrough and Lighty being very similar players, yet Lighty has NBA size. I'd love to bring him in to be our James Jones.

I'd also give a quick phone call to McCamey to be our third PG.

Agreed. Lighty is already more prepared for the NBA than most players drafted. Big surprise that McCamey wasn't drafted at all either.

Giorgi Shermadini is gigantic... I'd like to give one of those freak big guys a chance.

Hansbrough and Lighty

Hansborough has gone to Germany....first casualty of the lockout, i was sure he'd get a contract offer stateside.

Yea, I'm thinking these rebuilt Bobcats need a Primoz Brezec type figure...

edit: Although, not with Primoz's gangsta stylings, we've already got Kemba.

Corey Fisher, Jeremy Hazell, Lacedarius Dunn, etc - guys who can be that third guard.

Others would be Julyan Stone (someone we worked out), Diante Garrett, and Jamine Peterson. I also like Mickey McConnell, a PG drafted by the Dodgers that has received Barea comparisons.

I'd definitely offer Greg Smith an invite to Traning Camp.

If we are going to invite a center, I'd rather grab a guy like Michael Dunigan who has international experience.

Greg Smith reads like a great idea based on what David Thorpe wrote in his top undrafted free agents bit. Malcolm Thomas as well.
