Elite and 2K

The time is coming again for these developers to put their products on the market. Elite didn't run their game last year and said it wasn't a finished product, and that they wouldn't sell it. Which are you excited for and why?

The poll has two questions, and we can change our answers once new news comes out :)

Nice poll. Every option is I will buy, what's the purpose then.

If you won't buy at all, maybe just don't answer the poll? Fine, I'll make the poll much longer.

Not that it matters, NBA Elite is delayed until 2012 now.

I haven't touched NBA Live in years (I've been playing 2K since the Ben Wallace cover, which I think was 2K5).

EA can't get their **** together on basketball games. They would be better off releasing a new college game and producing a great product before trying to challenge 2K again. What sucks the most is that the consumers get screwed; there's only one company putting out a major basketball game. Five/ten years ago, you had many companies doing NBA games (2K/Sega, Microsoft, 989/Sony, EA, and others).

I think I am going to buy NCAA Football this year (first time in years) but I don't see myself touching an EA basketball game for a long time.

I have both NBA Live 10 and 2k11. NBA Elite was looking very interesting. I thought it was coming out this year when I made this thread, now it's kind of a moot question. I might just wait the year out though.

dude how is this even an argument? elite was so bad last year that after the god awful demo they released they pushed the release date back and then just scraped the game completely.... its 2K or nothing till EA shows they can put a basketball game together thats more than just dunking

I remember playing the demo and it glitched. The ref wouldn't pick up the ball and everyone was frozen in place but the guy I controlled (Gasol). I could move around, jump, etc but I couldn't pick that damn ball up.

NBA Live 10 was better than 2k10 in my opinion. 2K has always been to arcade for me, but I bought 2K11 anyway.

And the demo showed some really good stuff, like actually being able to control your player as opposed to having 2-3 animation choices that don't actually affect the outcome of the play.

EA sent NBA live to the guys that make Madden and changed the name to Elite. They couldn't meet deadlines due to their ambitious new gameplay changes and delayed release until 2012.

2k12 and 2k for ever and ever and ever...

EA sports just isn't even close IMO.

2k11 was perhaps one of the best sports simulations I have played EVER.

I pick NBA 2K because it's the better game and I'm a board moderator on their forums which means I get the game for free every year! :D

They don't care. You've already bought the game. 2K is notorious for failing to address issues after release.
