Baron back to CLT?

eh...not excited about that. Also, just because he wants it doesn't make it so. Nice to see he must've really enjoyed his stint here.
ESPN.com's Marc Stein reported Monday that the Miami Heat would have interest in signing Baron Davis if the Cleveland Cavaliers waived him with the use of the amnesty provision, which will likely be included in the new collective bargaining agreement.
The Heat and LeBron James may want Davis to come down to South Beach, but the veteran point guard prefers other teams, if he is waived by the Cavaliers.
According to Stein, Davis would like to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks or Charlotte Bobcats if he's released.
The Cavaliers could remove about $27 million from their cap for 2011-12 and 2012-13 if they do use the amnesty clause on Davis.

Doesn't make sense for us. Obviously we're in rebuilding mode, no need for a veteran pg that can be problematic to chemistry.

No thanks to bringing back the chucker. I want to see as much Kemba as possible

I would love to see him joining Miami and messing up the chemistry. It's weird that there was this article about Miami interested in Eddy Curry as well. In that case, they might land the two winners of the "Shawn Kemp Lockout Weight Award".

If we can get rid of DJ, I would be cool with bringing him in for a year or two if he understood his role. He can mentor Kemba as Wesley mentored him. But, I say it's a no unless we can get some value for DJ because Kemba/DJ/Baron will cause problems.

I don't care if its Baron Davis or Rafer Alston. Im just glad someone admitted they want to play here.

That's true. Chris Paul said he wouldn't mind, but he never put us in a list like this.

I think Baron would be the perfact mentor to Kemba as I believe Baron Davis's style is what Kemba should be seeking to mature his game into.
Despite the talk of pointguards being a dime a dozen these days I still think we can get decent value for DJ. All teams don't have a young point of DJ's calibre. Just ask the Lakers and the Knicks.

If the Lakers called Cho and asked for DJ in a trade, what players/picks would we want in return for DJ ??

DJ for Matt Barnes and Devin Ebanks.

The Lakers don't have anything I'd be interested in outside Goudelock, and he's not valued highly enough to make that trade even

Matt Barnes? No thanks. We just got rid of Jackson and you want to bring a less talented but equally crazy guy back?

I realize that I would be in the minority on this one so don't beat me down. Bu at trade deadline I would like to see something like DJ and Boris for Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom.

This, He won't help us out in the win column but his vet presence could help if he's on his best behaviour.

I've suggested Darius Morris/Devin Ebanks/1st/2nd on the trade board before.
I'd do that in a heartbeat, Darius Morris would be perfect next to or behind Kemba.

We already gave them Shannon Brown & Odom is too old, paid too much & would mess up our rebuilding.
I wouldn't give them a former lottery pick & a 9m expiring for them.
