RT @wisetyler: do you think players will pitch to each other over the coming weeks, while they can without punishment? -- absolutely.

RT @wisetyler: if you had to predict one trade/signing, what would it be? ---> David West to the Indiana Pacers.

http://www.hoopsworld.com/charlotte-bob ... am-salary/

im not sure which salary site is the best, but hoopworld has us at 47.6 mil. not really sure where the salary cap will be set.

i think we should make an early, cheap offer to kwame. other than that, i'd sit back and see who is still unsigned right before the season starts and try to find a center on the cheap (assuming kwame signs somewhere else)

aaron gray and jeff foster wouldnt be bad short term solutions at center if they were cheap.

I say we go after Nick Young, Paul George (via trade), and Stephon Marbury

 MJ should challenge them all 3 to games of one vs one. if they lose, they have to wear his shoes for free and then come play for us for minimum salaries (well not marbury haha)

so which players will become the first players under the new CBA to be grossly overpaid?

my guesses: jj barea, jamal crawford, tayshaun prince, carl landry, sammy dalembert, greg oden and our very own kwame brown.

(of course prince and crawford are already grossy overpaid at 11 and 10 mil respectively)

Kenyon Martin and Patty Mills as well.

Although Patty is earning more in China than he did in the NBA

I would like Aaron Gray. He seems to be well measured, no a lost case and I always wondered how is that he didn't get more chances somewhere. He may be the right candidate for Silas Redmeption programme.

What's up with Tyson Chandler's contract? He just came of his contract year, right? If so - I bet that he will get overpaid and will be able to loaf around for the next five seasons just because of this successful championship run.

I say go after Barea and Boykins and cement our shortest back court in history status. :|

Sucks Chandler and Smith are stuck in China, I'd be ecstatic to have Chandler.

McRoberts would be a sneaky pick up.

Targeting someone requires MJ to spend money. That ain't gonna happen.

Though it will be nice to say goodbye to Diop with the amnesty provision. I think there is a 50/50 chance he'll be signed by another team.... in the D-league.... of the Chinese basketball association.

MJ didn't hire Cho just to keep his purse strings tight. If a FA makes sense, MJ will write the check.

Whatever FA moves we might make, I just hope it makes sense in a rebuilding sense. So any young guys that haven't gotten opportunities elsewhere but are still talented and can be had for relatively cheap, come on down.

I'm just happy the bulls won't be getting Stephen Jackson or J.R. Smith.

Well, there's always the David Kahn possibility. Maybe he decides that he wants to pay Diop 10 million a year till 2016, so Milicic would have a back-up. I honestly think that this might happen.

It would be sad to see Gana leave the league. He might have no other skills whatsoever, but he is a great shot blocker and has the most awesome song made just for him.

in a vacuum there's plenty of names on the list I'd like (stuckey, afflalo, chandler, thad young, nene, gasol), but I hope we keep in mind we don't want to stunt future growth of recent picks and take up room for upcoming '12 '13 drafts, so I would actually not go for any of those gusys. instead i'd look for efficient backups - guys like dunleavy, mcroberts, who will fill valuable one or two year roles and then go away - or young guys with upside - earl clark, derrick brown. I do like aaron gray as a center and jeff foster works in the short term efficient backup mold.

I might actually prefer our GM take a gamble on some guys that went undrafted this past spring, cheapo and with potential upside:

Justin Holiday, Diante Garret, Xavier Silas, Michael Dunigan, Greg Smith

Rasual Butler of Chicago would be a good signing. How large will the rosters be? 12 players?
