tyrus feels disrespected

i really like this attitude from the bobcats. you can argue that he and the team have done absolutely nothing to deserve any respect, but i love the fact that is pisses him off and he seemingly wants to prove people wrong.

somebody has to stick up for our team and makes us somewhat relevant. i'd love to see tyrus take on that challenge and make his play stand out and demand attention. actions tyrus, action.

“My drive is because of the fact every other team is getting mentioned right now, whether it's their blockbuster trade or how good they’ll be,'' Thomas told the Observer Monday. "So I know we have to come in and work. My drive right now is to be mentioned. It just disgusts me when you watch ESPN, and out of the 30 teams you’re not mentioned.

“I think a lot of our guys have that chip on their shoulders. Just to show we’re in the league, too, you know?’’

Good to hear. Reminds me of Jax. Team needs to play with a chip on their shoulder.

No. I'd rather him play calm and intelligently and not pick up 3 fouls in the first quarter.

Settle down Tyrus, we will have none of that kind of talk this season. You only need to show up on the 15th and 30th each month to collect your check. That's it. We have a top 3 pick waiting for us in June.

I don't think that you want players to tank for a top pick. They should always have the win now attitude or fans will be paying to watch terrible basketball. It is the front office's job to say, Paul put Jax on the shelf for the last couple weeks so that we loose ground in the playoff race.

I share season tickets with my cousin and I don't mind tanking this season for a top 3 pick. Just as long as we have exciting young players to watch develop I'm cool with the losing this season. Play well but lose. That's should be our motto.

Battery, that is because you are one of us die hard fans. The fair weather majority doesn't agree with us.

Unfortunately, to the future of the Bobcats, the casual fan is more important than any other.

That is why it is important to always put an entertaining product on the floor even when we are loosing.

The casual fans will be in and out through out the process if they feel they can be entertained.

Tyrus needs to concentrate on playing smart & being healthy.

Good that the team has that chip on their shoulder though.

I agree. They should introduce 10 days ticket plans, starting a new one for every called up D-leaguer. I advocate rotating a many of them as we can till we find someone we couldn't pass on.

I applaud Tyrus' attitude, but really what has the team done to garner respect? Getting swept by the Magic in the playoffs in our best season ever?? How about go out and earn respect rather than question why the team has none.
