:o Since we are already looking for future, Letting our expiring contracts expire makes sense to me, but TT and Diop are our biggest liabilities. Unfortunately to get rid of either of them DJ would have to be included and I don't know who or what combo of players we could get in return? Also is Kemba ready to play point or do we need point included back in deal?
Trade checker 6051372
DJA, TT Diop for Jack and Okafore.--DJA/TT are local college players LSU/Tex and young. Diop expires next year.
Jack has expiring contract next year, Okafore is on for 2 years but is a much better player than TT

Rotation of Okafor, Biz and Mully at center
Let Diaw/Najera walk, sign Jamison FA, and backup with DW, #1 draft pick, at 4
Start MAGs, D brown backup and draft best 3 with second 1st round pick in 20s from portland trade
Start Hendo,RWILL, Carroll
Start Kemba,Jack rotate at point and 2

NOTES:Charlotte team officials vow not to make any deals before the March 15 NBA trade deadline that would jeopardize their rebuilding plans. But it wouldn’t be a surprise if Boris Diaw, who will be a free agent this summer, is traded. His relationship continues to sour with Silas, including Sunday night’s effort in which Diaw took four shots. Silas has clashed with Diaw much of the year about shooting more – Diaw’s is one of the team’s better shooter – but Diaw has shot 10 or more times in 13 games this season. “I would like for him to take more shots,” Silas said. “When you don’t shoot and you pass it to someone else, it’s normally a worse shot than you had. So when you’re open, it’s my philosophy that you shoot shots. Prior to tonight, he was really shooting the ball. He was scoring and whatnot. For some reason, he decided not to shoot the ball tonight.”…

Im more than content with just staying put and letting contracts expire unless some idiotic GM actually wants Diop, Thomas, or Diaw on their roster. Augustin looks like he could be the most logical one to get traded, but I dont see how a team will give us back what we covet ( any combination of young assets or decent draft picks ) for an average PG.

C's fan here: I didn't realize you guys were so eager to dump Tyrus. Is there something physically wrong with him or is it just an off-year?

both. you can add mentally as well.

he is now 3rd string power forward, shooting 35% from the field, making 8 mil for the next 3 years.

Boris Diaw: Get rid of him!

What is up with Boris? He gets in the lane and refuses to shot. When he does, he misses point blank lay ups. Is he doing this to get traded or doing it to ensure no one will want him? I don't know but I want him gone.

If we're going to deal Diaw, I hope we can get something valuable from him.

The only thing valuable we can get from Diaw is the 9 million we will get when he expires after this season.

Dang. Always was a big Tyrus fan, shame to see him drop off so badly. He is in pretty rich company on that 3rd string!

I just proposed a Jermaine O'Neal (expiring contract) + JaJuan Johnson (late 1st round pick out of Purdue: very good mid-range jump shooting, poor rebounding, skinny as a rail power forward) for Tyrus Thomas deal on the C's board. Is that something Bobcat fans would be on board with?

You never know some playoff team might like the idea of having a big man who likes to pass coming off their bench. Especially since if it doesn't work out they can just let him expire, and have a bundle come off their cap.

yes i believe so. i think we would do any trade that helped get rid of his deal.

he came into camp 15-20 lbs underweight and its been all downhill since. he doesnt have the weight or strength right now to guard pfs and he doesnt have the game to play sf. also, his once reliable mid-range jumper is off. something is off with him but nobody knows what. maybe he just needs another change of scenery. perhaps being on a playoff team like the celtics would help him.

he can definitely still block shots as evidenced by his 9 block game earlier this year.

So one of our Big guys came in to the season underweight and another is clashing with the coaches for not taking shots.

You don't see that often...

I think Diaw is purposefully underperforming, but I cannot imagine why. We thought he would bring some energy in his last season (as he has done before in contract years). Perhaps he truly has more money than he needs, and really couldn't care less. It would fit his strange character.

I hope Cho is working the phones (despite the public statements) trying to engineer 1 really good trade for a player who can help us now and into the future.

Diaw (9 ml expiring) to ATL for Hinrich (8 ml expiring)? Hinrich would give us an experienced combo guard with size we could re-sign (or not since he's expiring) to be Kemba's mentor/backup and would make DJ expendable (i.e. tradable before the trade deadline).

If we take on any extra years whatever team it is is going to have to add a first as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think Hinrich is the answer at all at combo guard anymore.

That's not extra, tyrus is paid for more years

I stand corrected, for some reason I was thinking Diaw, these threads being merged had me confused but didn't he add DJA and Oak has more years left than him, correct?
