Anybody think we should go after Beasley?

Post#1 » by TayP » Sun Apr 15, 2012 11:05 pm

He really isn't a cancer to a team just an idiot off the court. He could be the scorer we desperately need. I think he could be a scoring champion in Charlotte someday and an all star. He still is very young. He has been producing lately with more minutes and stepping up in Love's absense. So if we sign him do you think it would a good thing or a disaster?

I would pass.

I wouldn't mind Beasley on the Bobcats if the alternatives are Derrick Brown, Tyrus Thomas, D.J. White, and etc., but there are other needs. I wouldn't make signing Beasley a priority.

I'd be really happy if we could get him for cheap. Since there are teams that will offer him 6M or more based on his potential, it probably won't happen.

If we drafted Beal, and could not make a deal for another lottery big then I would make a minor run at him.

I like Beasley a lot, and if he doesn't demand big bucks I would definitely go after him. If that didn't work I'd also be interested in guys like J.R. Smith or Gerald Green to fill the scorer role if we can get a good deal for them.

Let me guess: you like anal sex- cause all of the guys you just named are a$$holes.

They may be ****, but they are also guys who will come cheaply relative to their talent, and they have enough upside to become much better. There is a question about if they will "buy in" but seeing that they will get more shots here than anywhere else and we have no true locker room cancers ATM, I feel it is a risk worth taking.

Buy low. His value is at the lowest we'll see it. Get him in here and amnesty useless Thomas.

Did you just lump Derrick Brown into same group with Tyrus Thomas?

Honestly I agree we should buy low, I was advocating that if we get the second pick we should trade it for Derrick Williams+future pick but I reckon you could include both Beasley and Augustin into the deal for sign and trades at five years thirty million-

Charlotte trade-DJ Augustin-5yrs/30m+second pick

for

Minnesota trade-Derrick Williams+Michael Beasley-5yrs/30m+future first round pick unprotected

We could maybe get Barea aswell.

Kemba/Henderson/Beasley/Williams/Biyombo..If we dont get Davis

I feel like this is getting back on the "barely 8th seed" treadmill for a long time.

Give them time before calling their ceiling.

in terms of draft picks they are-9/12/2/2/7-If they each individually reach 85% of their ceiling that team is a contender imo.

With Rubio being injured, the Wolves may be hesitant to part ways with Barea.
