Was it worth giving him up for just cash? He could have been another young prospect that could be a fit later down the road.

To MJ (who has never been a fan of 2nd round picks) it was because it gave him some extra gambling cash.

Some have suggested we used the money on Biyombo's buyout.

Do you think he could hve done anything for the bobcats? He's seems to be doing okay at GS so far in limited time. Just curious on peoples opinions.

The only thing keeping Tyler would have done is make it much less likely we'd draft Drummond probably. We definitely need a big C in a big way though.

Also if we kept Tyler would we have traded for Mullens.
Probably not.
We made that trade because we were desperate for a big.

Mullens is no Bill Walton nor will he ever be. But he's a better player than Tyler and despite Tyler's physical gifts, I dont think thats likely to change any time soon.

I think that if you put Captain Unibrow and a three point shooting three in the paint with Mullens good things will happen.

I wanted the kid so bad. We got him then traded him I was pissed. We should have kept him. I think with the right coaching he could be the next Jeremy Lin/Lester Hudson of bigs. He just is stupid. I mean I'm not that much into karma but I could have seen bad things coming if I went Euro pro after my jr year of high school. I think he got an ego check and can improve. It wouldn't take much to get him back. Tyrus/Diop future 2nd for Biedrins/Tyler/Wright could work. GSW wants to get rid of Biedrins bad and Wright wants to be traded. They don't have a back up for Lee anymore either. Mullens could become a stretch 4. Big man rotation of Davis(hopefully)/Biyombo/Mullen/Biedrins/Tyler would be very good by 2013-2014.

Uh, no. The whole Jackson/Jefferson trade was basically a white flag on trading Biedrins. With both Jefferson and Biedrins expiring in 2013-14, moving one of them doesn't make sense - we still wouldn't have cap room.
Instead the front office (wisely in my opinion) decided specifically against trying to generate cap space and instead have tried to get players (Bogut) and picks (Spurs 1st, hopefully keep our own first).
They aren't going to be dumping useful players in order to move Biedrins. You can argue whether or not that's wise, but it's the course they have clearly chosen.

Biedrins contract is cancer.

2 years, 9 mill a year. It's bad. But not in the running for the worst. There is even a Bobcats contract that is worse than Biedrins'.

Its a shame that my imaginary pet rock has a higher BBIQ than him though.

Paul Silas wouldn't bother shoving a rock that may or may not exist into a locker.

It's pretty clear selling Tyler was another poor personnel decision by this mgmt team. Guy started last night vs. LAL, put up 15/6 vs. Gasol. He's 6'11, only 20 yo.
I get the Biyombo contract angle, but if MJ needs to sell Tyler to afford that he should sell the team to someone less cheap.
