Have you ever not voted for Walker?
Serious question.

all i saw was the box score, but derrick brown played like 38 minutes and got 3 rebounds, why's he get a hammer?

Exactly why I didn't give him one.

he played some fantastic defense on gay and he was everywhere. and process of elimination, really. kemba had 7 awful turnovers, biz didnt do anything special, white, higgins and moon were terrible. carroll had a great 5 minutes (for him), but is that enough?

Seriously, if this guy could improve his handle/3 point shot, he'd be so dangerous. Still wishing he had a healthy off season last year.

Close vote betwen Kemba and UPS for the Bronze for me. Hate the 7 TO's by Walker, but he did have solid rebound numbers to make up for it. Only 3 rebounds for UPS is just as bad as 7 TO's by Kemba. If Biyombo would have scored 2 or 3 more buckets or had a couple more blocks, likely would have given it to him.

Kemba got destroyed by Mike Conley, too.

sorry ohara but i fail to see how Ups grabbing only 3 rebounds is "just as bad" as our point guard turning the ball over 7 times. we didnt lose because of rebounding. we were only outrebounded by 3. many of kembas turnovers happened near midcourt and lead to easy baskets on the other end. those types of errors are gamechangers. those were some awful awful turnovers.

Hendo
Mullens
Biyombo
With only the starting 5 seeing over 15 minutes tonight and Hendo and Mully easily locking up the first two Hammers, the contenders for the final one come down to Biyombo, Brown and Kemba.
I chose Biyombo because he nearly missed a double double and played some decent defense. Brown shot poorly but did play strong defense on Gay so I can see how he would warrant some consideration.
There is absolutely no excuse for our PG who shot 33% from the floor, turned the ball over seven times and was powerless to stop the opposing PG who thoroughly outplayed him to be getting a Hammer over the other two guys above.

Alright, thanks. Glad to hear he's got defense on his mind, I've thought he's been a little ineffective on defense compared to what he could be doing.

gold - henderson

bronze - nobody
bronze was a 3 way tie between brown, kemba and biz (somehow kemba got 3 hammers for one of his worst games of the year - go figure). no hammers if a tie happens in a loss. sorry.
