GT Bobcats vs Kings Sun Apr 22 6PM

Post#1 » by fatlever » Sun Apr 22, 2012 4:24 pm

4 more chances to win. tonight might be the best shot we have. if we play like we did on friday we will have a chance. it would be nice if pussyfoot jr could make an appearance today, even if just for 15 minutes. we need his shooting and we dont need to see higgins.

matchup of the day, which one?
biz vs cousins?
kemba vs isiah jr?
hendo vs evans?

reggie williams is rumored to play today. it would be good for him to get up some missed shoots before the season ends.

Rick Bonnell ‏ @rick_bonnell

Based on shootaround, I'd guess Tyrus Thomas and Gana Diop will play tonight vs. Kings. Unlikely D.J. Augustin plays.

The kings are listening to offers for Evans. I think he's still got potential to be really good. How good has Isiah thomas really been for them?

as a starter
31 games
15.2 points
5.3 assists
3.2 rebounds
2.0 turnovers
1.0 steals
47.7% fg

not bad for a 5'9" 2nd round rookie

Do you think it's sustainable for him though?

doubtful, but honestly, i havent watched many kings games this year. most likely he settles into a backup role at some point, for the kings or some other team.

Yeah I'm thinking so too. If the Kings are thinking that, they might want Augustin and our portland pick for Tyreke or something? I'd take that easy just because we need to take high risk high reward moves even if we lose a pick.

he could fill out that JJ Barea roll on a good team. come off the bench for 20 mins and wreak havoc with his speed.

Kemba and Tyreke would be a pretty bad pairing IMO.

I do like Tyreke though. A lot.

Then Kemba and our portland pick for Tyreke? I'd hesitate but I'd still do that.

I disagree. If he wasn't with a bunch of dumb players he wouldn't look so dumb.

He has dumb shot selection when he can't shoot and needs to pound the rock forever to get his own shot. Evans entire game is completely unappealing

So he's like Kemba, but with much much better size. Deal.

SOS, DJ! Reggie Williams should give us a lift. At least that means less minutes for Carroll and Moon. Silas has played Reggie at the point before, too, so maybe we won't see much of Higgins. It's going to be fun watching these guys try to bring the ball up the court against Isaiah Thomas.
Humble yourself.

Evans' inability to find a natural position concerns me greatly. OTOH, the Kings are practically as bad if not worse at developing players than we are so I'd be tempted to try and fix him.

I want Kemba to destroy Isaiah Thomas tonight. Just completely tool him. Oh, and to win. That would be cool and stuff.

The coaches keep placing him in random ass places. He's definitely a guard, not a forward.

Yeah it would be good to win tonight. But teams like the Kings, who lose a lot to everyone, especially don't want to lose to be Bobcats. Maybe we can anyway :)

See, this is where not having Eddie kills us. He could smack talk Cousins all night into getting ejected. Then we could actually get a rebound or two and have a shot.

it doesn't matter where Evans gets played at, if he isn't allowed to dominate the ball he's useless

So he's like a better Kemba with much greater size and length? Deal.
