Bobcats Use Draft Pick In Season Ticket Campaign

I applaud the front office for commiting to something pretty clever and trying to turn a negative into an instant positive.
The team started advertising a promotion Wednesday where the price for an upper-deck seat will equal the draft pick the team wins in the lottery later this month. Should the NBA-worst Bobcats get the top pick, the season ticket would be $1 per game, or $43 for the season
Well done team MJ.

some more info
"About 500 seats are eligible for the “Pay the Pick” promotion, which runs through the draft lottery on May 30. Each person can buy up to four seats, and ticketholders will not have the same benefits that regular season ticket purchasers receive. You won’t be able to trade in your tickets, and you won’t get an invite to the off-the-court events."
So really it's just tickets to get you in the gate. Your deal is still probably better.

I'm betting all of those tickets are in the 200 sections, probably the worst 200 sections.

This is all a scheme... people are going to get ChOWNED when he trades down for the 20th pick and Rondo.

Was just imagining someone getting a bill for $860 for their crappy seats.

How much do these types of seats cost on a game by game basis? How much is parking around there on weeknights? $5?

did they ever say where the seats were located? are they upper-deck behind the goal? or upper-deck in the corners?
behind the goals those tickets about 10 at box office, corners about 15, parking about 7.

So if I got this plan and come May 30th we got the 4th pick, not only would I have to deal with the rage of having to settle for like Brad Beal, but my season tickets would also cost 4x as much as I was hoping for? Things would be broken

..... $4 a ticket is still beyond a fantastic deal.
and fats, somebody on BCP said the sections were 204-205 and 229-230

i suppose, but I would hardly even want to go to games if we got the 4th overall pick. would rather put that $164 into the beer fund to make watching them on TV a tad more enjoyable

those are probably the tickets that go for 25c-$1 on stubhub. use to get some nice group deals on there when i was in town..10 dollar processing fee to stubhub then 25 cents per ticket works out pretty well when you have like 5 people who wanna go, tho this deal would be nice for like the Heat and Lakers games I guess
