1st team:
irving
rubio
faried
k. thompson
shumpert
leonard

2nd team:
parsons
t. thompson
thomas
brooks
williams

thats 12 players. does it make it worse to know 7 people made 1st team and 5 on 2nd and STILL no kemba?

seems he finished 14th in voting.

even as one who was not really impressed with kemba's rookie season, i would have to say this seems a little harsh. definitely some anti-bobcats voting happening here. this is what happens when you have the worst record in NBA history. everything associated with your franchise is affected negatively.

Kemba had a bad season, he shouldn't win awards for it

He didn't have a bad season. Sure he has room for improvement, but he still scored 12 a game with 4 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Not terrible numbers, especially considering the circumstances. The OP is right. Kemba is associated with the Bobcats and that makes him tainted. It wasn't because he had a "bad" season.

I hope to god that he never has a season this bad again. Historically low shooting percentages for the historically bad team? Yeah man, give that guy a medal!

That's fine b/c a lot of those cats just had their best year in the NBA. Kemba and Biz' are yet to come.

That horrible FG% probably held him back. I do believe he played pretty well, was aggressive and was able to create a lot good look at will... but I'm not surprise.

Hopefully, Kemba can use this as motivation to work on his game.

i think of those guys listed derrick williams is the guy i have the biggest problem with

8.8ppg, 4.7rpg on 41% and 12.9 PER

and maybe marshon brooks who had worse numbers than kemba in every single category except FG% and who got worse as the year went on.

but, like others said, you cant expect to win any awards when you shoot a league worst 36% (for qualified players) and win on 7 games.

Defensively, Biz is one of the best rookies. He is going to be a stud. Kemba was expected to play better than he did.

At the end of the day, this really has no meaning.

Williams is arguable. Everyone else listed belongs where they are.

Brooks played like a stud early in the year and his numbers declined as the year went on when guys like Dwill and Brooks (briefly) came back from injury. Also, once Wallace came on board, Brooks got even fewer shots and involvement in the offense.

Had Brooks played for the bobcats this year, he would have easily been a 17+ppg scorer with similar FG%.

didnt expect to get anyone on there, but Kemba deserved it over some of those guys statistically and its not really close. Such is life as a Bobcats fan

If Knight is worthy of 1st team and Brooks is worthy of 2nd team then Kemba should be on that 2nd team too.

But all in all, not surprised to see neither name on the list

this would please me a whole lot more than making the rookie 2nd team.

I hope they can prove a lot of people wrong and really develop into solid starters.
