Terrible. Might as well draft Robinson who may not be as good as a scorer at this very moment, but will play defense and rebound the ball and is much younger without a crippling contract.

Do you guys remember STAT last year with-out Melo when he was the go to guy and was playing Center?

He was in the MVP discussion.

STAT and Melo can't play together.
He would be your #1 option.
Biyombo would guard Centers.
Imagine a P&R between Walker and STAT.

Just say no to trading future firsts for declining stars.

For what you would be giving up, why not. It's not like free agents are pouring into Charlotte. With Kidd Gilchrist, Henderson, Biyombo, and Kemba all developing, might as well prove that Amare can't play with Melo and maybe get something out of it. If not, you can still build as you were.

I am tempeted to say Tyrus Thomas > STAT and insist to be sigged. That's how out of place the scenario is. You haven't done your research at all - rules, picks, positions of players, their value, form, health, insurance,...

If Amare punched a glass pane from being frustrated in NY during a playoff game, he's likely to jump headfirst into a train playing for us.

I even forget about that. Phew, he is going to have no knees, wear protective glasses, he has one healthy hand and obviously not the sharpest brain. What's next. No wonder there are insurance issues. Oh and he doesn't like Charlotte on top of that.

On another hand (no pun intended) Tyrus Thomas startng for Knicks would be a fine comic gig, a thing to witness and a good story to tell your grandchildren.

What are you talking about? STAT and his knees are fine. He's frustrated with not getting the ball (his hand).

Would you trade Thomas and Williams for STAT? That's the base of the trade.
Augustin is a free agent
Take the pick out if you want.

STAT can still be a very good #1, he just does not play well with Melo.
What scorer do you have on your team, and what scorer are you getting in this draft?

If he is so great, you should be able to get more from another team... Why is that all you want back if he is so awesome... Why not trade him to Houston for a PG or to a late lottery team...

You clearly are defending how awesome he is, but yet basically giving him away...

Can't play with Melo.... Nobody can play with Melo get used to it... He is a ball hog and has no playmaking ability...

Why are you so mad?
Do you need a hug :kiss

The players I put in the trade don't need the ball to be effective, they play better off-ball. That would be ideal for Melo.

Amare is untradeable. Unless very dumb GM happens. We both know it.

Not true at all.

They just need to throw in Linsanity to make it happen.

If his contract wasn't so laughable then it would be something to consider but as it stands it's a massive
pass.

Plus Amare is a bum.

no he's not

A 6'11'' scoring big is hard to find. The Knicks just happen to have a ball hogging SF that won't share the ball(I say that with love). STAT will be traded I just don't know where. It makes sense for you guys because you lost out on Anthony Davis. STAT and Biyombo would be a really nice starting front court (one is all offense and one is all defense). You guys also have a PG that STAT could run a P&R with in Kemba. That lineup would be formidable.
