Better he lead by example and not by words. The kid has an issue and I will not make fun or light of it (not implying you were KingCat). The reality is it will impact his ability to relate via difficult communication. That's no reason to be against him. What he does within the team, his communication of the court, will be most important. My issues are with his shooting and handle. Magically fix that and he may be an all-star; I just know it is a huge task that few accomplish at this level.

MKG on the Drive sounded MUCH improved from MKG on the MacAttack. I think it's all a comfort level for him. Cho said he was top 5 in his experience in the pre draft meeting. The kid isn't just dumb, which is what people seem to think immediately. Can't believe all the crap people have given it on the radio. Glad all the local radio hosts aren't standing for it or giving it any air time. This is a great kid, people should get behind him and support him, not belittle him.

You can imagine how nervous and/or excited he was during workouts, at the combine, and on draft night. Any sort of even small stuttering issue is going to be magnified.

Yep. No matter how nervous he has been on the court, he knew his talent would shine. But he had to be absolutely dreading Draft Night and having to speak on TV with his speech disability. But he tried his best and I applaud him for his efforts. Kid is a fighter and a winner, and will bring that change of culture to the Bobcats.

I will enjoy following his development in working on his speaking disorder almost as much as on the court. I think it will be very inspiring to look back on both in a few years and see how far he's come. I think he will represent us well even though some people may not understand at first and judge.

Speaking disorders are easily fixed. Might be a little harder for him as an adult but I had some problems as a young lad. Was worked out within a few years in elementary school and I'd consider myself quite the orator now.
He just needs to take some of that money he's getting and hire a speech coach. He'll be fine in a year or so.

I think Anthony Davis will be the newest member of Jordan Brand he always wears them and he recently wore some 12s to a photoshoot. Probably why he was pissed when they announced NO won, but MJ gotta be crazy not to make money off of the brow merchandise.

As players sit around anxiously waiting to hear their name called, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist could sit there knowing he already has lined up a deal with Nike. He announced several weeks before the draft via his Twitter account that him and Nike had come to an agreement. He surprised fans with a picture of “Nike Welcomes Michael Kidd-Gilchrist” banner which had currently been hoisted at Nike Head Quarters. Along with the picture was a quote, “Glad to be a part of the Nike Family!” The deal is a continuation of the partnership formed by Kidd-Gilchrist and Nike while at the University of Kentucky.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist tenure at the University of Kentucky had scouts along with potential sponsors interested in partnering with him in the future. Nike was the first to make the leap followed by The Charlotte Bobcats who selected him Second Overall in the 2012 NBA Draft. Nike along with Gilchrist camp must have been over joyed Thursday night as Michael Kidd-GilChrist was projected to be selected after players like Bradley Beal, Thomas Robinson, and Harrison Barnes.

He should trademark speech impediments. It's even less common than unibrows.
