I just saw Cleveland is involved in getting Andrew Bynum as part of a trade where Howard goes to LAL. Is it possible for Charlotte to get involved in that instead? We seem to have similar flexibility and assets. I know a lot of you guys hate Bynum but to me he's a top 3 or 4 Center.

He's a top 2 center but I'd still rather not get involved, we'd have to give up a lot just to hop on the treadmill.

I think its the wrong time to make that kind of trade for us. Like MKG14 said, i think it would put us on the treadmill. I would do it next offseason though but i think a howard-bynum deal will be done before then. Plus, Bynums a free agent next summer.

We would have to give up a TON for a guy that won't resign here.

I would absolutely look into it to see what they would want. The team getting the picks would be Orlando. They dont want Bynum. If it is the Portland and Detroit picks and Biyombo, I would have no problem at all AS LONG AS we had an extension for Bynum. Kemba, Hendo, MKG, Mullens and Bynum gives us a very strong and young starting 5.

They would giggle at that offer. Trade would be centered around Gilchrist.

I dont know about that Liver. Orlando seems to be more interested in picks, not players. And we could give them 2 firsts, that would possibly be 2013 but more likely 2014. Whatever the Lakers could throw their way also. I'm not saying it is perfect. But I think we can offer just as much as the Cavs.

The Cavs are giving up future picks and varejo. You mean to tell me we'd have to give up more than the Cavs? We could right now offer Detroit 1st and Portland 1st along with someone like Biz who I'm sure Orlando would love to have.

I want no part of Bynum even if he re-signs.

Funny how Bynum has one great season and everyone magically forgets his knees were nearly Oden-like.

Not to mention we'd have to give up at least three of our recent lotto picks (at the very least), essentially destroying our future for a dickbag who does this for a living.

Bynum goes somewhere else and he is not nearly as effective. His stats are good because he plays next to Kobe and Pau and had Phil Jackson. In Cleveland, Charlotte, or Orlando Bynum would blow despite being on a max contract. Probably something like 14/8/1 with 60 games a season played on 46% shooting. For 20 million a year? No thanks

If Bynum played for us I would seriously consider not following the Bobcats until he was gone. He is a walking negative stereotype of an NBA player. Dumb, Lazy, Dirty and amazingly talented.

I dunno, having someone who has that type of attitude could maybe help this team. Obviously the elbowing in the chests while guys are in the air is not condoned, but just having someone who is physical and tough would go a long way.

Sounds like he'll be in Cleveland anyway so it's a moot point.

I've noticed this weird coincidence about Bynum. All his "toughness" and "physicality" seems to only come out against smaller players. And it also seems to come out more often when his team is losing.

For one thing, there aren't many people that aren't smaller than him.

Even if he did something like that to, say Dwight Howard or Roy Hibbert or someone bigger, it's still a dick move. I was calling for a 20 game suspension after the Barea incident. He cracked Crash's ribs and messed up his lung too, and I think Bynum only got a single game suspension. We really don't need that kind of player on this team.

Or in the NBA for that matter.
