A younger Kenny George.

Even after following the NBA for years, I still can't imagine going about everyday life at seven and a half feet tall.

That guy would get eaten alive in the NBA. He's got potential but 7'5" is actually a disadvantage compared to 6'11" - 7'1" with balance/muscle/quicks
His shot looks decent for a guy that tall though. Someone tell me the last time we saw a 7'5" dominant NBA player though.

Yao was a top 3 center with Dwight and Shaq still in the league. Not bad, I'd say.

well, there aren't that many 7'5 guys to start off
Yao Ming - all-star who could have been regarded as a superstar if it wasn't for injuries, maybe you can blame his supporting cast a bit
Gheorghe Muresan - good starting center who held his own in the decade of plenty of talentet centers
Shawn Bradley; Manute Bol - serviceable centers who are among the best shot blockers in league history
Chuck Nevitt; Pavel Podkolzin; Slavko Vranes - scrubs
So 4 out of 7 guys were solid, that's not that bad. If you take a step down to 7'4, you get Mark Eaton, Rik Smits and Ralph Sampson. Kind of a similar situation - one shot blocker, one good starter and one guy whose career got ruined by injuries. And then there's the scrub in Priest Lauderdale.
Actually I'm surprised that there weren't more mediocre players at this height, you get the feeling that players so tall usually are hit or miss. I suppose that you could find more scrubs around the height of 7'0 to 7'3.

There's no rule that says you can't block a free throw, as long as your feet stay in the proper place.

Hmmm...no foot work, doesn't box out, didn't see one blocked shot or a jump shot minus warmups. He lost the tip, which shows even @ 7'5" he has no lift. He didn't establish a solid post up, rather he floated across the key & caught lobs.

Is that really how they teach defense at the high school level? It's like none of those kids have ever played basketball before...
Against a player of that size you need to use leverage, and body him up before he's standing right under the basket (now granted I'm not expecting these kids to stop a 7'5'' kid every single time down the court, but they're just letting him walk under the rim with ease

That's probably one of the most common names from people from that part of Africa (I admit I am ignorant on which part of the continent it comes from and am too lazy to google it), we have quite a few immigrants from those countries here in France due to the colonial era (and we have more than of few of these players in the French national league). Both the first and last name are very common from my experience.
EDIT: I didn't find any stats to back that up but quick googles of both Mamadou and Ndiaye should convince you

As an anecdote, Mamadou is sometimes (and sadly) used as a racist derogatory term for calling a black man in France, because it's implying that they're all indistinguishable and thus are all called Mamadou (which follows from it being a very common name).
