Okay here is a thread where we can talk about what we think are the best rotations. Such as starters, second unit, close the game unit, defensive unit, and offensive unit. or More.

To start I am going to show no bias to players I like and dislike at this point. Instead I am going to focus purely on the talents they bring and how they can be pieced together with rest of team to make the best squad.

Starters
Sessions- Better setup man and more consistent wide open jump shot shooter then Kemba. Will play better with guys who slash to the basket such as Hendo and MKG.
Hendo- Helps to hide the defensive weaknesses of sessions. Both can guard either guard position and Sessions will be better at getting Hendo ball where he likes it. Go to scorer of unit.
MKG- He is obviously a starter. Helps out on boards since Mully is weak there. Also, brings easy buckets to this lineup since Hendo and Mully are mostly jumpshooters.
Mully- Adds much needed offense to the starting lineup and can stretch the floor for with outside shooting.
Haywood- Covers up poor defense and rebounding of Mully. Also, gives us a big who can exceed playing in a 4 out- 1 in system that he played in Dallas with Dirk.

Bench

Kemba- Fits this group better since it has more consistent shooters on the wing. Kemba is more of a drive and kick then a set u up for layup kind of guy.
Gordon- The ability of him to knock down outside jumpers next to kemba is key. Also he is go to scorer of this group.
JT- Helps out with bad defense of Kemba and Gordon, while also knocking down jumpers. Also, his athleticism would help with small backcourt duo.
Tyrus- Hopefully give us some frontcourt scoring. Also block shots with a horrible defensive backcourt on floor.
Biz- Block shots. set screens for shooters. Rebound. also, hopefully him and Kemba can devlop good chemistry together.

I agree with Jmac3,but still think we are 18-64 team. At tops 25-57 unless we make a blockbuster trade for a star player. Harden or Bosh can be had,but the price would be stiff.

I know this unit will suck on defense, but at least theres MKG to cover whoever the best wing on the other team is while leaving Gordon on the lesser threat. The point is..we need to score. Having 2 wings in Hendo and MKG together with no range bogs down the offense and kills our spacing. Having Gordon out there gives Kemba and MKG much more space to drive with Gordon and Mully stretching the floor spotting up. And Ben is always there to get a decent shot up if the play breaks down. I just really prefer scoring early in the game if possible. Having Gordon out there as opposed to Hendo also draws a defender out of the paint which is better for offensive rebounding from Haywood and MKG.

mainly, i cant stand these starts where we have 2 points 4 minutes into the game. that just depresses the hell outta me. I don't care what the other teams doing that early as long as our team is in a groove putting up points.

I think this lineup gives the 'Cats the best chance to win. The backcourt will dictate a uptempo offense with perimeter shooting. The outside shooting ability of BG will open up the lane for Kemba & MKG's penetration; vice versa, the slashing ability of the latter will provide opportunities beyond the arc. The frontcourt of MKG, Tyrus, & Haywood will give the team easily their best rebounding core on the floor, as well as enough interior defense to sustain giving up a early lead.

I like Mullens being the first guy off the bench because he can score in bunches; instant offense. It's obvious that Haywood will usually be the first starter to need a rest on most nights so Mullens would be a decent reserve for him considering that most people already has him penciled in as the starter. Hendo could also provide a spark off the bench where I believe he can be a big difference maker on a nightly basis when his inconsistent offense isn't depended on. I can see Hendo replacing MKG at SF on most nights as the rookie adjust to the NBA style of play. Sessions would be great with the 2nd unit to control the offense by moving the ball as well as scoring. Biyombo will thrive in this role as a defensive playmaker off the bench that won't be held back with the thought of being in foul trouble. JT is arguably the best all around player on the roster, so he can just get in where he fit in.

My lineup has specific purposes...

PG: Sessions
SG: Hendo
SF: MKG
PF: TT
C: Biz

Sessions is better than Kemba at running the floor and finding the open man, and running the break. With this lineup, Hendo, MKG, and TT all can fill the lane and throw it down. Even Bizzy can do it, moreso than Haywood. This lineup is designed to run the starters of the other team down, so that they get tired. They run the break, even after makes. Tire the other team out.

2nd Unit
PG: Kemba
SG: Ben Gordon
SF: Jeff Taylor
PF: Mully
C: Haywood

Jump shooting, space the floor for Kemba to get in the lane and have many options for the 3, or the easy layup. Haywood becomes defensive anchor and gets boards. This is to basically hit lots of jumpers while the first team gets a breather to run again.

3rd Unit:
PG: Higgins
SG: Carroll
SF: Reggie
PF: Owens/Summers
C: Desagana Diop

If I ever see this lineup, I quit as a bobcats fan.

I like the idea of giving our young guys starting minutes. We'd have a decent balance of offense and defense with this lineup. Haywood would hit the bench soon enough and we'd bring Biz in. Gordon could also potentially switch in at the same time for Hendo depending on how the offense is flowing.

I like Mr. NIA's logic, and agree that Mullens is ideally better utilized as a super-6th man to play lots of 5 and 4. I prefer starting Sessions & Gordon, as their experience and scoring ability will at least make this team enjoyable to watch. Walker could end up starting by mid-year, and is likely to start versus Ramon, but he needs to refine his game to earn those minutes. Tyrus needs time to see if he can develop some chemistry and game, but his rebounding can be superior to Mullens. Biz is so far away he needs to learn and earn time, so I have him as 10th man instead of Taylor.

It's hard to put Hendo on the bench, and I really think he will be our starter at the 2. Probably will be our starter, but his offensive game must step up this year. Mullens could easily be our starter at the 4, and probably will be, but he MUST get tougher inside on D and improve his boarding. Bottom line is this; we are still years away from contending. We are in that hole that many teams in the East haven't been able to climb out of for a long time. If our draft picks don't come through we'll stay down in that hole.....

Kemba- Like Bernie Mac said," Gotta learn. They gotta learn.
Hendo- Team's best player. Ride him till he drops.
MKG- See Kemba
Mully- Gotta have some front court scoring, and someone who can hit a three every once and a while.
Haywood- True nba center even if he is on his last legs.

Sessions- get out the way and give Ben the ball.
Gordan- Go to scorer of the unit
Taylor- Play a little d hit a couple three
TT- Block shots young man.
Bizz- see TT
