Can we stay above .500?

Will Byron Mullens ever shoot .500?

I miss Mullen's long twos that actually went in consistently.

Mullens has a nice little turnaround jump shot in the post that he use too seldom

going to this one. its been a long time since my last game.
mully just needs to relax and play within the offense. if he does that and keeps up the rebounding and improved defense, he can be our channing frye. at the very least teams have to respect his shot which pulls a big man away from the basket, freeing up kemba/sessions, gordon and mkg to attack the rim.

after going through that lockout season, it almost seems like the breaks between our games are too long.

Haha, I was thinking that same thing. Even as bad as least year was, I still looked forward to watching most of their games. My over-under was always 25, though. If they went down by 25 or more, I would have to turn it off.

This should be a fairly competitive game. The matchups to watch would obviously be Kemba and Dragic and also MKG and Beasley.

This is the first time in two years where I actually see us as favourites

I don't know if I see us as favorites, but the Beasley/MKG matchup will be fun to watch. Dragic vs. Kemba will be interesting as well.
Scola/Gortat will destroy us.

Let's go Bobcats! This is a very winnable game.

Yeah he needs to slow down offensively and let the offense come to him.

I think we need to take a serious look at the Haywood-Gortat matchup. IMO, the bobcats are at a serious disadvantage as a whole because we rebound so poorly. If haywood can limit Gortat's boards, we can actually give ourselves a chance to win

This. I'm betting Scola is at least 20+ points and 10+ boards. I'm not counting this one as a likely win (not that any are.) Their front court is just so far and away better than ours.

We are at a sheer disadvantage in respect to the frontcourt, however I do think we may be at a better position to run a fast paced game much like we did against the pacers. We had an obvious disadvantage across the board as far as skill at each position but kemba played well when he was pushing the ball and we could see that again tomorrow

Stopping Scola and Gortat will be key. This is a game where Dunlap must continue to "junk up" the paint with that zone defense and force the Suns to shoot from beyond the arc. I'm pretty sure that the Suns won't make 3s at the same clip that the Mavs did in the Bobcats previous game. Outside of Shannon Brown I don't consider anybody on their roster to be a true deep threat. Dragic and Beasley are their next best perimeter shooters and barring a career night, they are both limited at that range.

With Hendo out is Diop going to be activated?
He should be handy against Gortat

I'd rather we get outrebounded by 20 than see Diop on the court again for any reason other than wiping up sweat.

as guys before me stated - the front-court matchups will be vital. They actually have two bigs in Gortat and Scola I'd love to have on our roster, acknowledging our problems with post offense. Phoenix acquiring Scola for 4mil a year through the amnestied player auction is one of the biggest steals of the last decade.

what don't you like about Gana? Dude's a very good post defender and seems to give a crap about the game. If you wonder whether he still has it, he had a few decent defensive games last season, despite being awfully out of shape.
