:-? :-? :o The OKC model we are using to build our team is definitely the right path to success. Charlotte has always been a popular destination for business and our city is growing every year. 5-7 years from now we should be much more attractive to a big name FA and also be a factor to get by in the eastern conference playoffs. After Diop, Carroll,Higgins and Rwill contracts expire in next year or so,we should replace them with young talent.

To this day I don't understand why we have RWill and Hig when White and Cunningham could still be on the roster.
Cho had a reason for trading for these two guys and I hope it wasn't someone else who made the decision not to keep them. 2-3 year vets buried on a roster behind superstars can be the fuel we need. Look at Mullens..Last night 14 boards and another game he had 24 points..He's a keeper, but he's 1 out of 3.. We could have used Cunningham off the bench at 3 this season backing up MKG and also DJ White a 6'9" pure 4 would have helped us offensively and defensely better tha Rwill or Hig..Matt Carroll and JT can shoot 3's better than those two guys.

In order to keep growing this franchise and slowly make it more attractive to FA, we must first start with younger vets showing promise. Who knows... these guys may become the next Ray Allen, ,James, Wade, Mello, Howard, or Bryant while with the Bobcats. Cho is making good decisions and we need to stay out of his way. Dunlap is our coach and at 2-4 out of the box should be commended. For this to work long term let them make the decisions.not Higgins and MJ.. And someday in the next 5 years Charlotte will continue to grow and have an NBA team like OKC which finished as runner up in the NBA Finals last year.

:) :) :) Lets add Memphis to this Market comparrsion. They are now winning (just beat Miami and OKC back to back) and were built similiar to OKC's model Charlotte is using now. NBA TV has Memphis going deep into Western Conference Playoffs this year and contending with the LA teams and eventually losing to the Spurs.
This could be us in 2014-2015 season contending against NYK, Miami and Brooklyn?

I think this is Cho's/MJ plan....Your Thoughts?

Quite simple Reggie and Corey want to be here White and Cunningham did not. They were not traded. They both chose not to resign.

I don't think they wanted to wait that long. I believe Mike/Cho thought they would get Davis in the draft last summer, sign an impact free agent or two this summer, and contend in 13/14.

I think thats still the plan, except with Gilchrist, and Walker leading the way.
