I think this is the MKG, Kemba, and Dunlap effect. MKG and Kemba are both products of winning while Dunlap is a former college coach that is naive enough to believe in developing youth. They are most certainly changing the culture quicker than most expected.

I think this is partly MKG, partly better Kemba, and partly better Mullens. But for me, I think the biggest reason is Coach Dunlap. He has this team playing inspired team ball and they have bought into his system and philosophy. I love MKG, dont get me wrong. He is playing well, and is going to be a huge part of this team for years to come. But I think Cho selecting Dunlap to be our Coach was a very pivital moment in the history of this franchise.

I don't want to sound bitter but partly is due to the absence of Hendo being our go-to guy. Remember our 1-6 preseason record? Me neither.

To learn how to breathe through his nose? :)

I swear, he always looks like he's on the brink of exhaustion, but I think it's because he always has his mouth wide open like he's gasping for air.

Hopefully, ROY and a quadruple double.

Yeah, I don't want to jump the gun but hendo is looking more and more expendable each game. I absolutely love JT's defense, and even more importantly for this team, his jumpshot.

Good point about Hendo. JT is turning out to be special in his own right. This is a good problem to have. If JT takes the stating job, Hendo would be a very nice pience of the bench. His scoring and defense is almost OK for a starter, but above avg for a 6th man off the bench.

I really don't think we need to be winning this many games. I don't think we'd even sniff the top half of the western conference by the end of the season, so we really shouldn't be trying to get to the playoffs. We've made our point, last season wasn't the real us. Now can we get our lottery pick again please?

Hey guys, remember this Summer when I said that JT maid Hendo expendable and you guys ate me alive? Funny thing huh?

On another note I would like to say that the biggest difference this year is that we are taking better shots and are playing much better defense.

No. We win as many as we can.

We've won a bunch of close games against teams without their best players. I think this upcoming stretch will bring us back down to earth. We're still a 25 to 33 win team.

I'm all for optimism but I really think we need to hit the lottery one more time.

lets give hendo a month or so of playing in this system before we completely right him off. if anything, i think hendo makes reggie expendable. JT plays more minutes at sf instead sg, kemba and sessions probably play a little less together. MKG probably plays a little more at sf and gordon gets his same.

rotation w/ hendo (and w/out tyrus)
pg: kemba 32 I sessions 16
sg: hendo 20 I gordon 18 I sessions 10
sf: mkg 22 I taylor 16 I hendo 10
pf: mullens 26 I mkg 8 I biz 8 I warrick 4
c: haywood 26 I biz 16 I mullens 6

kemba 32
mullens 32
mkg 30
hendo 30
sessions 26
haywood 26
biz 24
gordon 18
taylor 16
warrick 4

minutes vary with matchups, fouls and who is hot, but this should be the general template.

we might easily go 1 and 6 over this tough 7 game stretch and be 6-11 very soon. we also have a west coast road trip coming up in a few weeks which wont be easy. those first 12 games were by far the easiest part of our schedule.

this team still feels like a 30 win team

It's hard to argue with this, because I don't want to take minutes away from anyone in that lineup aside from Warrick, and his minutes could only go to Haywood (eh, he's getting older, 26 is enough) or Biz (can he stay on the floor that long?).

I am very open to trading Hendo. His lack of size and three point shot makes him very expendable in my book. He could be a good 6th or 7th guy for a decent team though.

If there is an opportunity to trade him and our two first rounders from other teams for a bonafide young allstar, I'm all for it. This team just may be too good already to get a top 5 pick from here on out. Cho will have to be creative in getting us that first star. Something like what Houston was able to do in getting Harden.

30 is actually higher than most people predicted, even on this board. Heartening, even if it does end up costing a higher lottery pick.

He's 6'5". That's fine for a SG.
