this is probably the easiest game of our tough 7 game stretch. that is not a slight against portland, but more of a statement to how tough of a stretch of games we are halfway through.

hendo is day to day

I'm interested in this Kemba Walker vs Damian Lillard matchup. This is a very winnable game for the 'Cats to return back to .500. The Blazers have been a overrated team with talented youth going into the past couple of seasons until their losing record has indicated otherwise. My biggest concern, which has become a terrible trend for the Bobcats in the early going of this season, is how will they defend the 3-point line. Lillard, Nicolas Batum, and Wesley Matthews to name a few on their roster are serious threats behind the arc.

This is a game where Dunlap going small may actually work for extended periods of time. I believe MKG can defend & physically outplay LMA on the boards at PF, and JT should be the primary defender on Batum at SF.

He doesn't shoot threes. Batum, Matthews, and Lillard do, though. We can expect one of them to kill it from three, but if we can control LMA/Batum, we'll be fine.

I can see JJ Hickson crashing the boards and causing a few headaches as well.

Similar to Atlanta we're going to miss having another mobile big. Ashamed to admit I wish TT was available.

our godawful 3pt defense is a product of trying to cover up our godawful interior defense. Dunlap has said as much

That's been obvious since the beginning of the season when Dunlap tried to use the zone defense to keep opponents out of the paint. It seem as if lately the 'Cats have been doing mostly man-to-man, but the defensive rotations are geared for the guards to cover the paint due to the slow footed bigs, and give up the lesser percentage shot beyond the arc, but that isn't working too well. I think with the resurgence of Biyombo in the past few games, Mullens will see the bench a little more than he has to make him accountable for his multiple defensive miscues. The problem then would be a frontcourt of Haywood & Biyombo possibly struggling majorly on the offensive end

The previous games I wasn't expecting much but tonight I think this team really needs a win. It's the easiest game we've got in this stretch and we have to take advantage. Blazer starters are better than ours but that bench of their's is horrendous.

If the young guys play like they did last game then i'd be happy with that. I just hope MKG, Taylor, Kemba and Biyombo get more minutes. Biz' aggression last game was great. Hope he gets fired up early and they feed him the ball down low some more.
I haven't seen Lillard play yet so this will be interesting to see.

Ben Gordon and Ramon Sessions should light up their bench.

I would have other obligations during a game I'm really looking forward to. I'll probably get to watch half the first quarter and that's it. :(
