GT: vs Golden State Mon Dec 10 7PM

Post#1 » by fatlever » Sun Dec 9, 2012 6:22 pm

this game will be fun and scary for many different reasons

fun
1. the warriors are fun to watch and my 2nd favorite team
2. steph curry homecoming
3. harrison barnes homecoming
4. another test vs a top pg for kemba
5. MKG vs barnes

scary
1. the warriors are probably the best 3pt shooting team in the league and we all know we give up more open 3s than anyone in the league - curry, klay, barnes and jack could make this game a blowout if they get hot the same way the spurs did on saturday
2. david lee and steph curry are playing the best ball of their careers. both arguably deserve to be all-stars this year.
3. the warriors are 13-7. this isnt the same lovable loser team from the past decade
4. carl landry is a master in the post. biz has to stay down on the pump fakes.
5. jack might be the best backup pg in the league, with sessions close behind. this is one of the few times where we dont have an advantage when sessions is playing against the 2nd string pg.

will dunlap stick with diop, biz and taylor in the starting lineup? personally i think our starters should be: kemba, hendo, MKG, mullens, haywood (with mullens on a short leash - either he defends and rebounds or he sits. i dont care too much about his 38% shooting, but the bad defense and not blocking out are unacceptable).

I hope this is the game that the 'Cats end their losing streak to finally go over 7 wins in 2 seasons. It doesn't get much easier afterwards with the Clippers & Hawks being next set of opponents in the week

If Bogut was healthy I'd start Haywood, but with him out it probably doesn't matter if mullens/biz start

Klay and Curry are scoring 10 threes. Calling it.

it probably wont be curry who destroys us from 3. kemba will be all over curry and we wont be leaving curry open in the corner. curry will have to nail 3s with kemba in his grill. its typically been the guys who play off the ball that are killing us. klay is the one i would be worried about. he will stand in the corner while curry and lee run pick and rolls and while landry goes to work in the post.

Kyle Lowry is probably the only PG that torched the 'Cats from behind the arc, and most of that was due to Kemba underrating his range by going under the screen. I'm sure that Kemba knows what Steph Curry is capable of.

that is, unless jack and curry play a lot together (which they probably will against us). from what i have seen, jack usually runs point with curry playing off the ball when both are in together.

This game worries me but I'm hoping MKG comes up with a big game against Barnes.

I think that Kemba and MKG could have massive games Vs the Warriors.

They aren't a good defensive team and they don't really have a rim protector. Team that with Kemba and MKG's ability to slash and get to the rim and I think they could go nuts.

Providing Mully doesn't use up all our teams FGA's on long bombs....

Interested to see if our new guy, Jeff Adrien, can bring anything against Lee & Landry. Theyre both 6'9", but Landry's wingspan is 6'11, Lee's 7', whereas 6'7 Adrien's is 7'2". Hope he gets a few minutes so we can check him out.

If anyone is interested in going to game tonight with me, pm me. My wife is not going. I have pretty good lower level seats behind the basket near the Bobcats bench. Let me know. Thought it would be fun.

He ain't got nothing on Biyombo. That guy can stop a ground ball on the first baseline from the dugout. Too bad he couldn't catch it, though.

does anyone think Stephanie Ready is especially awkward this year? lol she cant even spit a sentence out without it coming out awkwardly. Its like she doesn't think about what shes gonna say until the camera starts rolling. I think she just needs some help out there

via Bonnell: With Cory Higgins waived, coach Mike Dunlap said Reggie Williams and/or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would fill in as third point guard.

I said this in the thread about higgins being waived. Either one could bring the ball up effectively.

GS's crew is calling Curry, Lee and Thompson the "Big Three".

LOL.
Humble yourself.
