Hurry up All-Star break. I need some excitement via trades and festivities. MKG and Kemba could use the rest. They've been looking winded lately. Gone and almost forgotten is the intense full-court pressure and uptempo transition style offense that we used to race out to a 7-5 start.
Coming off a B2B I expect for us to get blown out but as a fan I have to keep the optimism. Go Cats!

This is our 4th in 5 nights, correct? Seeing as Dunlap doesn't play Henderson or MKG more than about half of every game, I don't think that's really a problem for them. I think we turn it up a little as an "F you" to DJ, and surprise Indiana by destroying them in the first half, epically collapsing at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th, and then only win by one.
Also predicting Psycho T gets punched in the face pn accidenurpose.

I didn't know that we were at home. Being that it's a B2B I thought we were still away. I have higher hopes now considering the losing streak.
Note: We are no longer the worst defense in the NBA. The Sacramento Kings are by .1 PPG

The Charlotte Bobcats rank second in the league in points per play for ballhanders in the pick-and-roll.
That vaunted Bobcats pick-and-roll attack! According to Synergy Sports, the Bobcats notch .88 points per play for their ballhandlers in the pick-and-roll, which ranks them second in the league.
This is pretty incredible, mainly because every team in the NBA uses picks for ballhandlers. It’s the bread and butter of nearly every NBA offense.

Imagine if we had a decent roll man.

Are they confusing what a pick and roll is with an iso play?

I call BS on that. We literally have almost nobody that can roll to the basket and the only one we have is out till February.

Outside of Ben Gordon's efficiency, our best offense is Kemba and Sessions, so it's only right. The keyword in that reference is "ballhandlers".

i think that pick and roll stat speaks more about our awful bigs than it does about our guards or our ability to run a quality pick and roll. i would imagine that our ball-handlers look to score rather than pass coming off the pick more than any other team (and probably by a large margin). i bet our pick-setters rank dead last in points per play.

the stat is referring to points scored by the ball-handlers (kemba, gordon and sessions) coming off picks. the fact that our bigs are so awful makes it easy to see how our ball-handlers are scoring so much per play. its because they are never ever looking to pass, only to shoot.

well, obviously some credit goes to kemba, sessions and gordon, who are all 3 good at scoring off picks. our 3 leading scorers are ball-handlers who use a lot of picks to get to the rim or get off a jumper.
what other team has their 3 leader scorers as primary ball-handlers who use a lot of picks to score?

Our roll men out the pick-and-roll are ranked 17th in the league. Based on the Synergy stats it seems that our biggest problems offensively are scoring in the post where we are ranked 28th and spot-up shooting where we are ranked 29th.

17th for the roll guy? OK, see, now that is a stat that surprises me.

Just remember that the roll guy for us rarely sees the ball. Probably only in the best of situations for the roll guy.

Rick Bonnell @rick_bonnell
Dunlap said he's learned Gerald Henderson is more comfortable as a starter and Jeff Taylor is better off the bench (more).
Rick Bonnell @rick_bonnell
Regarding Taylor, Dunlap said he's better off playing with Ben Gordon because Gordon draws so much defensive attention.
