The Magic just beat the Pacers the other night, right after getting blown out by the Wizards. I don't know how to feel about this game. Then again I never do.

I feel bad for not being here for some time, but I'll be blunt - we suck. There's absolutely no joy in watching our games and it's hard to settle for a Cats-Magic game when you want to see the top teams of the league.
I'm not promising anything, but it's been long overdue since I've been a part of a GT, I should go through the pain at Orlando with all of you, I suppose.
We also are starting to get national exposure for how bad we've been lately. The TBJ guys are starting to take shots at us with Tas Melas going on a rant on how angry he was to pay for a basketball game where DeSagana Diop is getting PT. Moreover, they were the guys who praised our team during the first weeks of basketball saying that we might not end up being a playoff team, however, our guys are fun to watch. Now everyone, in their opinion, seems pretty disinterested.
Zach Lowe also dedicated a paragraph to our lowlights.
Included in this dislike: Any starting lineup that includes zero among the Gerald Henderson–Ben Gordon–Ramon Sessions bench spark plug trio. The Bobcats don't have a single big man who brings anything close to a league-average game on offense, and scoring thus becomes unduly arduous when Mike Dunlap starts the perimeter group of Kemba Walker, Jeffery Taylor, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist — as he did during a Friday-night whitewashing in Toronto. When some of your sets center on Hakim Warrick facilitating at the elbow, you've already lost the game.
Or I could have said this in way fewer words - we suck and I have no absolute belief in us having a chance at Orlando.

it may be time for MKG to come off the bench for a few games.
perhaps to get more offense until mully comes back we should start with kemba, gordon, henderson, warrick and biz.
let MKG run with the 2nd group. he'll still get the same minutes, but perhaps we wont be down 10 at the end of the 1st quarter and we might have a chance to stay in some games.

I'm totally against MKG coming off the bench. No, no, no.

I just want the season to hurry up and end so MKG can get in the gym every single day and work on that jumper. I think its going to be night and day next season compared to this season.

Why? He's a rookie who would play similar minutes. Not like he'd have an ego about being benched.

MKG should get more burn at the 4, just so the rest of the guys we normally play at the 4 don't play as often. Also our other players that don't suck are all guards. I'd rather see us go small than see us relying on Hakim Warrick and Tyrus Thomas to cover big men.

As long as he doesn't get more than 8-10 minutes there a night. Playing the 4 was very physically demanding to Wallace when he played it for us.

Good enough. 10 minutes less of Thomas each night is 10 less minutes of me puking in my mouth and swallowing it back down.

MKG is our best defender, best finisher around the basket, and one of our best rebounders. As talent deprived as our roster is, combined with all the losses, benching the #2 overall pick would have a bad perception on the eye of the media. I don't see where starting Hendo at SF over MKG would benefit us in any fashion when he's a veteran that's just as inconsistent if not more. Let the rookie play through his struggles.

Start Biz/MKG/Henderson/Sessions/Kemba. It's the obvious solution. Honestly Mullens is going to seem like a god when he returns after this horrible stretch.

Drummond has come off the bench all season. Waiters was recently benched for a few games until he worked himself back in the starting lineup. No one is doubting those guys purely for the fact they come off the bench.

The Pistons at least have a really good player to play in front of Drummond (Monroe's pretty damn good), and Waiters is simply terrible. It all depends on the situation. I suggested letting him come off the bench for a couple games when he was having chronic foul trouble for a while to have him dominate the second units in the early part of the game and then have him play starting minutes in the second half. If we weren't desperate for frontcourt help right now, I'd suggest it, but we need to start him at the 4 and bring our pitiful bigs off the bench.

start MKG or bring him off the bench, really doesn't make a difference in my eyes. what i'd really like to see is some consistent 2nd half minutes for him, particularly in close games. so he's a gamer? give him the opportunity to step up in close games, win or lose. what's the worst that can happen?
