My concern isn't AB's height, rather it's that he doesn't seem too interested in Defense.

His height is a major major for us...I think it maybe the major reason we don't draft him.

not concerned with his height for the PF spot. his weight and wingspan easily cover the distance. not to mention being a complete matchup nightmare on offense.

No thanks. Simply too small for us. I think eventually we're going to need to draft a real center and play Biz at the 4.

Same here. I keep hearing some Z-bo comparisons and he definitely has that kind of body type but if his game reminded me of Z-bo's at all I'd be driving the bandwagon for this guy. His motor only seems to run on offense. With his length and ability to get off the ground so quickly he should be a monster on the boards but he just isn't for some reason. How much he likes to play inside is a bit tough to figure out b/c UNLV routinely had a space eater like Khem Birch or Mike Moser alongside him.
I don't think there was a big in college that could get buckets in a hurry like this guy though. If I was convinced that he can rebound and defend with more fire he'd definitely be in the mix for me but an undersized PF that's unmotivated is not an ideal frontcourt with Biz.

If Bennett is that good I would hope we wouldn't let having Biz on the roster stop us from drafting him.
Bennett becomes the starting PF and we get a bigger C to play next to him bringing Biz off the bench or using Biz as a tradable asset.
Biz isn't that good that having him on the roster should dictate other roster moves.

i would even say the same about kemba. please just add the most talented player possible through the draft, no matter who it is. sort out who stays, who subs in, and who gets shipped out later.
as for bennett, i don't see the randolph comparisons. i agree with brotherdave, if he was at all like z-bo i would be banging the table for this guy big time. i think he really sees himself as a 3, and shapes his game that way. i think he hangs out on the perimeter too much to do what we wish he would do for the bobcats. i think his rebounding is not good enough to deal with his size disadvantage at the 4. i think his defense is a real problem, and his tendencies on offense are such that it's hard to look the other way about his defense. i think he might switch off mentally enough that he never reaches his potential. he's a player i would be excited about if the bobcats had a later pick, but at #4 i'm looking in other directions.

I agree. You'd need a big C to go beside him, if we had drafted Drummond last year then Bennett would be a great pick. I just don't know if any bigs like that are going to come along, maybe Cauley-Stein, maybe acquire another pick and get Steven Adams, maybe throw tons of money at Pekovich. But Bennett and Biz together doesn't sound good unless Biz gets into Dwight Howard's medicine cabinet.

Full support for taking Bennett at 4 from me. Even if he is 6'7. Instant offense, think he would average at least 12 ppg as a rookie. Sir Charles was only 6'6 but he was strong and athletic ala AB.

Sir Charles was 6'4.
Bennett is too short imo although built like Brand.

bennett aint charles he aint a young LJ...he is a tweener that has the body of a 4 with the mind of a 3. he needs to seriously commit himself to the gym because he is fat.

Bennett probably has the best chance to become a top 10 player in the league followed by Oladipo based on skill sets. Will that ever come to fruition? I don't know but it's worth the risk. I'm currently leaning towards Oladipo pending the Hendo extension talks but there's not much doubt in my mind that Bennett would at the least become a more than serviceable PF in the league averaging no less than 14 points and 7 rebounds by Year 3. His conditioning bothers me because he looks the part of being slightly overweight and I think I read that he has asthma which means that he's likely not to have much of a motor. Another concern of mine is his recent nagging shoulder injuries that he let affect his tournament play and draft combine appearance. A player with so many question marks isn't going to silence the critics by not being present to answer them. It'll only make the questions louder.

I want to see Bennetts official measurements before I even consider taking him.

What about them? He's 6'7 in shoes with 7'1 wingspan
