Any updated news on potential workouts?

Article from nbadraft.net on SE Division team needs.

That article is terrible. It had to have been written from the standpoint of somebody that didn't watch many actual NBA games last year, and used statistics to help him summarize each team's needs. I already don't put much stock into NBADraft.net based on their mock drafts, prospect evaluation, and player comparisons, but after reading that I know they don't know what the hell is going on in the NBA.

nbadraft.net is pretty terrible.

Draftexpress and Hoopshype are pretty damn good.

The best articles I find are SB Nation and obviously for the Bobcats rufusonfire.com

Rick Bonnell uses nbadraft.net

That's how terrible it is

So the real question is do they have the rights to hugoonfire.com yet?

All the mocks will change as private workouts get underway and smoke screens are floated around. If round all daily holds up and you can take back to nine and still get Len that would be nice.

I got a feeling that the mock drafts and big boards are really going to get shaken up once we get into workouts.

With Clifford being the new HC, and him being defensive minded, do you think this gives an edge to us taking Oladipo perhaps? Might not have much scoring from the SG and SF positions, but man would they ever be defensive minded.

Agreed. Oladipo and MKG both have very high offensive ceilings tho.

i would hope that the organization's evaluation of the best available player in the draft is independent of the short term coach that was just hired. but, who knows.

I seriously doubt the new hire of Steve Clifford is going to play any role in who Charlotte draft. Rich Cho is in total control of player personnel, listening to ideas from other front office staff & coaches, but never dissuaded from taking whom he believes is the best player for the team.

I doubt Clifford will be short term, but that's another topic.

i feel your optimism, but 2 year contract with team option for a 3rd is hardly a long term commitment. i think you'd be hard pressed to find a shorter contract for a head coach hire in the NBA. regardless, i would hope that they would have plenty of other people in place to evaluate draft talent, and just hand their favorite over to the coach for development. i don't sense clifford is here to establish a culture throughout the organization. i wonder if they're still smarting from giving larry brown that kind of influence.

Any reason why Lucas Nogueira isn't in the conversation as a possible late lottery pick if we make a trade?!?

random trade scenario.

burke falls to #4. the bucks want to trade up to get him to replace jennings who they decide to not resign. would you trade burke (picked on their behalf) for john henson?

per 36 for henson last season: 16.5ppg, 12.9rpg, 1.8bpg
18 PER
48% fg

i have no idea of the bucks have any interest in burke or any interest in trading henson.

No. I'd rather to just draft Anthony Bennett. I like John Henson but it's ludicrous to trade a #4 pick for the #14 pick from a year ago.

Number 4 overall is way too much for Henson.
