The 2013 NBA Draft Night Thread

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Thu Jun 27, 2013 1:26 am

Use this to discuss all picks/trades as they happen on draft night.

A stand alone thread will be made for the player we draft once he is drafted.

I'm all about a good athlete with a great work ethic. Zeller or Oladipo for me.

I have been looking forward to this draft for the last 3 weeks like it was my 21st birthday....

Now I am getting extremely depressed that we are about to blow it, and take Cody Zeller 4th.

Yeah lets tank the whole year, be the second worst team in the NBA and then take the 10th best talent. Thats how you become a playoff contender alright....

Something horrible is going to happen tomorrow I can just feel it..

I know you're a big Indiana fan, but I'd love Oladipo at 4. Zeller at 4 I'd like but I think we could trade down and get him. Iwwouldn't be devastated if we drafted him.

i feel like its almost a given that Cho will make some kind of interesting move. 1 year ago today we traded Corey Maggette for Ben Gordon + 1st round pick

2 years and 2 days ago we traded Jackson and 19 for Maggette and 7.

What can he pull off this year? Gonna be a long day at work tomorrow.

My final Bobcats big board:

1. Bennett

2. Noel

3. Len

4. Oladipo

5. McLemore

any of these players and I will be happy. assuming no trades, anyone else I will be skeptical but positive about. Even Zeller I could like at this point.

trade wise:

MKG/Kemba untouchable period

Bismack + Taylor might as well be because i think we value him way more than anyone else would

anyone else is fair game if anyone even wants em. Hoping to get value for Gordon and/or Sessions.

don't expect to trade back, the value isn't there for either party.

I'd love to hear somebody explain to me drafting Zeller at #4 without trading back to snag him.

Same. I don't have the same feeling of dread though b/c I don't really love anybody in this draft. But if we draft a big white guy in the top 5 it will just strengthen my doubts in this Cho era ever since we passed on Drummond.

Oh well, let's party regardless.

Just had a second workout with Magic (trade down scenario I know). Kings like him, Suns like him.

Hell who knows in this draft.

I think you guys will take Len. & I think he's a good fit for you guys. Building around Walker, MGK, Len is finally a nice start. Hopefully you all sign bad ppl for 1 yr deals & finally get the #1 pick.

Lots of talk about our future pick being sent in a package to PDX in the Bulls' effort to land LMA. If that happens, I wonder if we can work out a deal with PDX so that both teams get back the rights to their future picks.

Call me crazy but I have finally decided whos bandwagon im on this year. and its Ben McLemore. His only flaw is his handle (which he doesn't need a great one playing next to Kemba and MKG) and his "attitude" I think McLemore will be the Drummond of this class.. a highly talented player at his position whom people have overlooked because of his "character" flaws

If I had to predict one thing to happen, it's that we trade with Minny for picks 9, 26 and Williams and then take Zeller at 9.

Nothing against Zeller, I just don't like the look of the guy, looks like giant geek with a bad hair cut.

Although I do think Williams would be good here and the end of the first round is pretty strong as well

I agree with the potential to deal but the only viable one ive so far seen is minny and it's a stretch.

My big board has the same players just different order. Something like
Bennett / Len / McLemore tier one
Oladipo and Noel tier two.
Zeller tier three with a trade back (minny 9)
Of these picks I can't say there is a wrong way to go, everyone has flaws and high risks so I won't be pissed who we take.
I will be behind any pick from this list.
