Buy or Sell: Kemba will be an allstar this season

What do you all think? I think he will play like an allstar, question is will the little amount of exposure charlotte gets hold him back? he has the advantage of being in the east, so that's a plus. I think he is better than Damian Lillard but he doesn't have as much hype around him.

nobody from charlotte will make an allstar game until the team is .500 or above in mid-january. kemba could put up 20 and 8 next year and will get snubbed as long as cats are well below .500.

He'll probably put up all-star level numbers (like last year) but fall short due to being a Bobcat.

Sell. Agree with fat. If the team hovers around .500 and if Kemba's number look good, he'll be an allstar. Not to mention injuries for Derrick Rose, Kyrie Irving, and Deron Williams would need to occur to open up roster spots.

It's 100% guaranteed that Kemba won't get voted in by the fans, but there's still about a 15% chance that the coaches might vote him in if Charlotte is playing beyond their means with him as the ring leader

Sell. Pretty much like most people on here said, he is definitely capable of playing at an all-star level (just like he did last season) and hopefully with Big Al, he'll get some more open looks and more assists.

Unfortunately, regardless of how good he plays, he will get snubbed because of a combination of small market, playing on a team with a bad rep, or out of "respect" for players who's more well known. Like for example, if Kemba were to play better or equal to Deron Williams next year and it came down to those two, I believe Deron Williams would get it simply because of his reputation as an all-star player.

On the other hand, while it may be a reach, I do believe Kemba can average ~20 ppg and 9 or 10 assists pg, which then it would be almost impossible to leave him off

Born and raised in CT and diehard UConn fan who followed Kemba Walker all 3 years. Every single year his game improved. Every. Single. Year. Before his breakout Junior year and championship run, he practiced with Team USA. Rondo told Ray Allen that Kemba was the fastest player he had ever played against. Kemba played against elite competition and returned to UConn a man among boys.

His improvement every single year has carried over into the NBA so I expect an even better Kemba. This summer he is again practicing with and against elite competition. This is the year he breaks out in the NBA but since most will not be ready for it, he will not get the recognition. This is the year he introduces his brand.

He is going to make the All-Star team, maybe not this year but definitely next. 100%.

I'd love to snare Jeremy Lamb from OKC. Pipe dream.

- Rose
- Irving
- D-Will
- Wall

These are the only threats to an all-star berth from Kemba. Rondo is going to struggle upon his return due to his injury and the fact he has no teammates. Who else is there? Lowry? Teague? Felton? Jennings?

If John Wall doesn't pan out this season, Kemba is very much possible. We don't know what Rose is going to be like next year, and Irving and D-Will have been battling injury problems every year.

Disagree. I think Rose, Irving, Rondo are locks. Rondo is going to score a ton next season and he will still get assists (assuming he comes back healthy at the start of the season). D-Will is a wildcard but he will likely make it because the nets are going to be good next season. Then you have Wade, which leaves a spot for one more guard. (assuming they consider Paul George a SF). John Wall wont be better than Kemba imo.

2 players coming off season ending injuries, and another with an injury history, are far from locks.

But then again with the fan vote at least two of them could get in regardless of health or performance.

Bobcats would have to surprise everyone and make be .500 or better. PG's are loaded in the East with Rondo, Wall, Rose, Irving, Williams.
