Gerald, Taylor, BG
MKG, Gerald,
McBob, Zeller

I'm pretty much the same with everyone else.
PG- Kemba
SG Henderson - I truly believe he will be back. Management can't trust Taylor and Hendo can't expect to make
8mil/yr
SF- MKG
PF Zeller
C - Jefferson
6th Man - Sessions - the man just knows how to effectively get to the bucket and gets and-1s while he does it
I hope that Biz begins to show a dominance in the paint to further strengthen our big man rotation

I don't know if Zeller and Jefferson start together. That's the biggest question mark.

I actually think it would be a strength. What was everyone's biggest concern about Zeller? That he would get knocked around inside the post because of his size. With Jefferson, yes he is a defensive concern, but Zeller can help down low. Jefferson is a pure post scorer, whereas Zeller (as we've seen in summer league) can hit the midrange. That relationship will take some time to gel, but once it does, I think we will have a formidable frontcourt

I agree I think McBob starts so we have a better defender next to Jefferson to start games.

I think that is the best pairing we have. Zeller and Jefferson complement each other on the offensive end and I think Zeller is quick enough to help cover some ground on defense to help Big Al. Also, both have solid shot blocking abilities and it would give us a massive frontcourt.
Then off the bench McBob and Biz seemed to have good chemistry together last year, so I would let that to continue to grow. McBob has the playmaking skills that would help out the second unit and his interior passing should help Biz get some easy buckets. Defensively both can hold their own.

I think Zeller is a better defender than McBob... I do not know where that assumption comes from that Zeller is a bad defender and McBob is a good one.

I don't think McBob is a good defender, I just think he is a better one that Zeller right now. Not saying Zeller won't get better long run just to start the season McBob will be the better of the two.

I wouldnt be so certain.. Zeller has already showed his athleticism off in summer league blocking shots, taking charges, and staying in front of point guards off pick and rolls...
And Zeller is taller than McBob and probably a better rebounder. He is just a much better player....

The fastest way to get our fanbase to jump off the metaphorical cliff is to start McBob over a guy we just drafted 4th overall. We need to use some discretion here in knowing that a kid like Zeller is only going to get better with playing time. I don't see any scenario where its more beneficial to start McBob over Zeller

He has also gotten destroyed off the dribble by CJ Leslie and spun in circles a number of times trying to figure out what to do. He is a rookie and on defense has looked very lost at times. He has shown some flashes of promise but he has also shown he is not sure how to defend away from the post. Zeller's forehead is higher but his reach is lower than McBob and he is also not as strong yet. I am not saying Zeller does not play big minutes but if we used the argument for Jefferson of Biz can learn more coming off the bench it applies here too. If we go with the best lineup McBob is the starter. Zeller has yet to go against a guy who is more than a 9th or 10th man for an NBA team. Our match ups have been short on big men of quality so far. The last two games he was defended by guys who are most likely SF in the league. Zeller should be the first big off the bench and Biyombo can come in with him to defend the rim and let them learn to play together since they are the young guys of our future.

So do I. It's going to be interesting to see what the big man rotations shake out to be, none of them look ideal.
Zeller and Al: Awful defensively, complementary on offense.
McBob and Al: Probably bad defensively, not as complementary on offense.
Al and Biz: Probably the most complimentary on defense, one-dimensional on offense.
Zeller and Biz: Probably the best small-ball lineup, not great offensively.
The problem is that Big Al is so bad at defense that he needs a rim protector beside him and the only one we have is Biz and it will be an adventure with defensive assignments and floor spacing on offense. Big Al is going to give up more points than he scores so often that his nickname should be Big L.

Zeller is a better defender than McRoberts. So what if CJ Leslie took him off the dribble? Leslie weighs about as much as Kemba Walker

I can't see Josh McRoberts starting over Cody Zeller. The only way I could even configure it is if Zeller suffers a injury heading into training camp or the regular season that lingers. I also don't understand the notion that Zeller is a poor defender, because that's not true. Zeller is a smart defender that understands positioning & playing passing lanes. Granted, Zeller is not a shotblocker, but he racks up steals at an above average rate for a 7-footer

Point was someone with only mediocre handling skills had him turned all around. Zeller has the potential to be a better defender than McRoberts but right now it is not close. He has never been man up on the wing with guys like he will face in the league. He also does not appear to know when to help down and when not too which is why he gets caught in no mans land at times. He is a rookie and is learning a completely new position, and that will take time.

I would have thought that perhaps Bismack might start.
