GT: vs D-League Sat Jul 20 8PM NBATV

Post#1 » by fatlever » Fri Jul 19, 2013 6:48 pm

apparently the game is at 8PM and should be on NBATV.

will the cats keep trying to win or give the bench guys more minutes?
will MKG be back?
can JT finish strong and win the scoring title?
does dyson have another good game in him?
will biz ever get to 10 points?
if we lose, will the media make a headline that says "Jordan Can't Even Beat the D-League" despite the fact they are 5-0?

going forward please use the spoiler tag for the good luck charm pics. thanks.

good luck charms brought to you by the letter D. have at it.

I was gonna say this page (http://www.nba.com/news/las-vegas-summe ... l#schedule) has the game listed at 5 p.m., but their tv schedule has it airing at 8. But then I looked at their scoreboard and it's listed as an 8 pm start, so nevermind.

will MKG be back? No. I think he's finished with summer league, moving onto greener pastures with the other top sophomores from his class in the Team USA Mini-Camp

can JT finish strong and win the scoring title? Yes, especially if he jack up as many shots as the current leader, McCollum

does dyson have another good game in him? Yes, I think so now that he's basically the 3rd option with MKG out the fold

will biz ever get to 10 points? No. He's arguably the most offensively challenged player in all of NBA summer league

if we lose, will the media make a headline that says "Jordan Can't Even Beat the D-League" despite the fact they are 5-0? Yes. They are ignorant enough to do so, especially that Deadspin site

QueenCityHoops said that: "I’m not positive that the game will be televised on NBAtv as of yet."

as for me, it seems like I'm destined not to watch a Cats game live during this summer league. I have to work the midnight shift again, yet I was somewhat ready to try out watching a stream at work. The downside is that 8PM ET is the time when I get to lay my head down for a couple of hours.

It's on their schedule, just listed at two different times. I think all the games have aired, just some have been tape-delayed until the wee hours.

I'd be very surprised if we win. The D-League seems to have good rapport between them like they have been playing all season.

If we lose don't we have to play another game anyway?

This Summer League is lasting longer than the Summer Olympics

I got into an argument with Charlotte-hater Kevin Pelton on his ESPN chat, if anyone wants to check it out. He stopped responding to me after a while, lol.

MKG is a glue guy, doesnt matter if its NBA, college or summer league. he will find a way to do the little things that need to be done, while remaining a constant 3rd or 4th option. in summer league, taylor and zeller are 1st and 2nd options, MKG is glue guy. NBA, jefferson and kemba and 1st and 2nd options, MKG is glue guy. at kentucy, MKG was glue guy. put him with MJ, magic and olajuwon and MKG is glue guy.

Andrew (Charlotte)

And the Sixers have? The Bobcats have been unlucky in lottery positioning, but why completely ignore Kemba Walker's 18/6/2 last season, MKG's big games, and Zeller's SL play. If anything, Rich Cho has made the most of his bad lottery luck
Kevin Pelton (5:00 PM)

Holy selective evidence, Batman. I know that summer league is different for rookies, but you can't simultaneously get excited about Zeller and ignore the fact that MKG's week in Vegas was borderline disastrous.

I don't understand what's disastrous about 11 points per game on 54% shooting & 3 rebounds. I could understand if he just labeled his performance "unimpressive", but even that would've been uncalled for

and played great defense on a team that is 4-1 with the one loss as a buzzer beater. mkg is all about winning. he would never look for his own offense at the expense of the team.

Kevin Pelton is a poor mans Bill Simmons. He hates Charlotte

analysts groping in the dark for "strong takes" will make way way way too much out of nothing at all. MKG was disastrous? yeah, i guess, if his sole job in summer league was to impress kevin pelton, who apparently didn't bother to watch him play anyways.

Well, to be objective, it is evident that MKG is not a player equal to his lofty draft position. No matter the rationale, he will continue to be judged by his relevant value (as the 2nd pick). It is a position where stars are picked...not glue guys.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I still hate the MKG pick.
It has been written...
