Whitfield a candidate to be new head of NBPA

According to Whitlock (can't stand him BTW), Bobcats president Fred Whitfield is one of 4 candidates to be the new head of the players union, replacing Billy Hunter. Thought that was interesting, since he's close to MJ (that's how he got the job), and this would put him in a position against MJ on the bargaining table.

Worse off, if he somehow leaves, it's possible that Higgins somehow parlays this into another promotion for himself. I mean, somehow he got a promotion when he hired Cho to replace him.
I'm getting more depressed thinking about it.
